Late that afternoon, Vincent made his way down to the kitchens, asking the House Elves for a picnic for two despite the rainy weather inside and a mug of lemonade while he waited. It was cool and delicious on a parched throat and he savored it while they showed him things to go inside and he simply nodded. When the basket was full enough for four people to eat on, he laughed and stopped them, asking for a bottle of pumpkin juice and one of lemonade since it was so good. Putting the two bottles in his back pack where a blanket and a book and papers already waited, he picked up the basket and thanked them, their easy delight quite plain. Making his way upstairs, Vin turned off near the Room of Requirement and thought about the room she had conjured up once last year with a smile on his face. He even imagined the couch, though it had been added afterwards and once he had it fixed in his mind, he began walking back and forth. On the third round the familiar door appeared and he grinned. Stepping to it, he opened it and stepped inside, closing the door behind him before he walked around remembering. This was a very special place for them, the place she first gave into him really and he had proven to her she wanted no one else. A long fight to win her, but it had been more then worth it. Setting the basket down on the coffee table, he placed both the bottles (easily big enough for two cups each) on one end, then pulled two tall mugs out of the bag and placed them in front of that. The blanket was from his mother's, something they had borrowed for a picnic where they had ended up not eating till quite late in the afternoon. Smiling, Vin spread it on one end of the couch, moves the pillows on it like backing, then kicked off his shoes and left them at the door and padded barefoot back to the couch and sat crosslegged on the end he had prepared. Checking the time on his steampunky watch he grinned, and opened the top of the basket, rearranging it so the desserts were on the bottom...

It was, she knew, almost a miracle that the majority of the passages her mother had told her about still worked. It was equally amusing that she was using the one-eyed witch passage to sneak into the school rather than out of it. It had taken some doing, but she'd managed to sneak into the cellar. Sneaking in, she was quickly learning, was far trickier than sneaking out. The underground walk to the school was rather long, but Keela didn't mind. It had been several days since she'd seen Vin, and already it was harder to concentrate at work. Was it like this for everyone? She wondered, or just her? Dressed casually, she made fairly good time. Knowing most of the teachers had excellent memories, and she'd only been gone since last year, she cast a disillusionment charm on herself a moment before carefully sliding the statue out of the way. Closing it behind her, she headed for the third floor. She didn't run into much trouble, most of the students were in their dorms getting ready for dinner she suspected. She followed the room of requirement's ritual impatiently. The door appeared rather suddenly, and she exhaled, glad to get out of the open. Entering quietly, she closed the door carefully behind her and took in the scene. She recognized that blanket, and smiled to herself. Padding over to where he sat on the couch, she sat on his lap, and then released the charm. "Hi love." She grinned playfully at him, but then wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him softly. "Missed you." Though she'd had work and wedding planning to keep her busy, Keela had been scheming for a way to visit Vin pretty much since he'd left on the train. The team she was currently following was on a bi-week, and after a quick trip home to check on her parents, she'd headed for Hogwarts. "What's all this?" She motioned to the spread, "planning on missing dinner?" She smirked to herself, remembering the last time they'd gone for a picnic. Lindsay had given them a knowing look, but kept her thoughts to herself, mostly for Keela's sake, she suspected.

Vincent had closed the top and leaned back slightly in the cushions when he heard the door open and shut, but no one came in. For a moment he tensed, wondering if he had been found out by someone else and they were being stealthy, but then he felt movement at the same time he heard it and felt someone sit in his lap. Instantly he knew he was good and it was her, because no one else would do such a bold thing and as she dropped the illusion his face went all pleasant at the same moment. "Sneaky!" he said and then kissed her as she settled against him. "I missed you more," he said arms wrapping around her as well, enjoying her presence and wondering how she had fared getting here today. "I think chasing you in the halls between classes made last year a lot more enjoyable, if frustrating, then this year." He sighed holding her close till she mentioned the food. "Hey now, I have to make sure you get enough in you, goof," he laughed, patting her belly with one hand, "but seriously, I wanted to make sure we could relax without worrying about time or interruptions like dinner.""Magic," he said waving that hand at the room before returning it to her waist, "can bring hearts together, but it can't create sustenance as you know." He leaned forward and kissed her throat gently right smack in the front, knowing it was a very vulnerable spot for anyone. He did it with tender care and an element of treasuring she could not miss. He breathed in her scent, placed his forehead on her chin saying very quietly "Oh how I have missed you..."He hadn't realized how worried he had been she might change her mind still...

She saw the tension in his expression and grinned to herself. He wasn't used to being surprised, even gh he lived in a house full of people. She felt him relax as she settled into his lap and leaned back into him. As the illusion fell, she beamed at him. "Thanks, I've picked up a thing or two." She kissed him back, lingering for a moment as she pulled back, enjoying the look in his eyes. "What makes you so sure?" She crossed her arms and smirked at him. "I've been flying all over the world trying to keep up with your mum and the Harpies' schedule." She gives him a rather miffed look, "and do you have any idea how many cousins you have?" She widened her eyes at him. "We're going to have to rent an arena just to seat everyone." She shakes her head, but when he mentions being bored, she laughs. "I'm sure you're finding something to keep yourself occupied. You could try studying for your NEWTS for example." She laughs when he talks about eating. "I assure you concession stand food is very filling, maybe not very nutritious, but very filling." She'd gotten quite used to it on the road, though she missed her mum's cooking more as time passed. While she enjoyed her job, the new was starting to wear off, and she was beginning to see clearly how strenuous her schedule was going to be. What she was seeing was a lot of work and very little free time. She gives him a wicked grin that softens into a more mischievous smile. "Define the word 'relax'." "Magic" she repeated, eyes glinting, "can do many many things." He kissed her throat and her eyes slid closed and she smiled. She hadn't been aware of just how much she'd missed him until this moment. She opened her eyes met his. "I love you so much Vin" she murmured, kissing him softly, tenderly again. "But its only a few months until the wedding" and then a few more until her internship was up and she could get a steady apartment in Hogsmeade. She'd have to talk to Lindsay about pulling some strings to get him allowed to stay on weekends. She wasn't sure how, but instinctively she knew that of everyone in her life, Lindsay Moon was the one to ask when one wanted a difficult thing accomplished. Plus, it would contribute to her future mother-in-law's chances of grandchildren, which would go far as a selling point she wagered. She wrapped her arms around his neck and laid her head on his shoulder. "I wish you could come with me" she lamented softly, almost pouting now. "It feels odd traveling without you after everything over the summer."

Reaching up he tapped his heart in response, as if his heart could compare how much he missed her with her, his grin firmly in place. "I should, I've been to Egypt to spend enough time at family gathering since I was knee high. I told you we could field whole Quidditch teams just out of the local relatives." An arena for a wedding, a tad big he would have thought. "hey, why do you think I suggested outdoors in the first place? We've got enough wizards in the wedding party alone to fend off good sized storms from a number of places. A nice sized park would be good enough for our crowd."Makes a face. "Did that. Octo makes a great study guide on things I already have mastered. Anyway you can only study so much before you feel like your head is going to explode and I still have more then six months to go before I take them, Keela, even a crazed Ravenclaw with a bed in the Library and room service wouldn't study so much they had no human contact at all." He opened his hands up as if to say 'come on!' with a smile asking for sympathy. At her comment about defining he kissed her on the nose, right on the tip. "Oh no, I think you get to define that part, love, I wouldn't be so presumptuous. After all, you are the one whose working these days, you get to do the relaxing the most. Partners take care of each other that way you know," he added with a wink, though he knew what he wanted for sure. "You think I'm not counting the days? I've got a work out schedule in mind for your days off so we'll be in fine form for when the wedding night comes about," he whispered to her, enjoying her reaction to being close to him. He too wanted to go with her, see what she was really doing, but he sighed as he let his head fall back, putting one hand to his forehead as if suffering horribly. "And yet here I am trapped in this rather dull place because it's missing the light of life in it," he teased, being that way just to get her to smile.

Keela shook her head, still grumbling, "You neglected to mention you could build a leage with the rest of your extended family" she points out. By this point, she's almost pouting at him. A few moments later, however, she relaxes slightly and sighs. She grins, "Okay, I was being a little dramatic" she admitted. She gave his idea some thought. "A park could be nice, or..." She looked lost in her thoughts for several seconds. "Why couldn't we just pick a spot on the island? There's got to be some place around big enough for that many people..." She gave him a look as though looking for confirmation. "Right?" She kind of wished her Gran were still alive. She'd been so good at things like this, but then again, so was her grandmother. Keela made a note to owl both her mum and grandmum. Organizing details for that many people wasn't something she could hope to do alone. She'd also need Vin's mum when it came to family details, though sometimes putting the two women in the same room provided more entertainment than productivity. She laughed, odd as it was to say about a machine, she missed Octo. She could swear ocassionally that the mechanical octopus was more human than Vin let on. She bit her lip. "He is awfully handy to have" she agreed, then gave him a look as though she wanted something she wasn't quite sure how to ask for. "So um...speaking of how handy Octo is..." Her expresison took on a slightly pleading quality. "Is there any chance you could come up with something like him for me?" She smiled, "I was thinking the other day it might be nice to have something like him around, since the original is here with you." It still sometimes surprised her how apt Vin was with machinery, his odd combinations of mechanics and magic were impressive at the very least, and ocassionally downright incredible. She arched an eyebrow at him, smirking. "Who said anything about no human contact?" She grins at him, "you do have a dozen siblings running around, and I'm pretty sure you've managed a friend or two as well."The expression softened, and she kissed him agian, almost as though she was trying to re-memorize what it felt like. When she pulled back, there was a longing in her eyes that bespoke rather clearly how much she had missed not only his physical touch but the intimacy between them. It was hard to make due with letters when she missed him some nights. Though she'd never admit it, there were times she'd considered quitting her internship just to come home. Unreassonable of course, but sleeping alone after so many nights together had been hard to adjust to. When he kissed her nose, she wrinkled it at him, just as she'd always done, but she also smiled. She laughed and rolled her eyes at him, curling up in his lap and laying her head on his chest again. "If we had a week I'd say relax, but one night..." Her eyes darkened a shade, "I can sleep any time, Caro Mio, but I don't always have you with me." His whispered words about the wedding night sent a thrill through her. It was true. They were only months away now, four short months and she'd have his name. She tried not to think about how many more it would be before they'd actually be together for more than just stolen nights every few weeks. "You've always taken care of me, Vin" she assured him. "If I'd known how much I'd be missing it now, I wouldn't have fought it so hard when I had the chance to enjoy it." She sighed, smiling ruefully. "Lesson learned I guess." She sounded almost sad. While she was happy they were together tonight, she couldn't help thinking that in a few short hours, she'd be on another continent again, and he'd be here, several hundred miles away. She smiled softly at his comment. "Its just a few months, love" she repeated, both for his sake and her own. She gets a sort of mischievous glint in her eye, "unless you want to run away with me."

Shrug of the shoulders and rubbing his thumbs on her back he said "I did say there were a bunch, but yeah once you add in the branches entirely mom goes to a book with the Silvers in it cause she can't keep track otherwise. The Moons are easy though." His eyes met hers knowing she would know why too. It was a secret outside of the family, but she wasn't really outside the family any longer either. His eyes agreed with her idea about the island except "The only issue you have there is the muggle family on the island who don't know we exist. You could hire a team to make sure they stay strictly in their farm for the day I guess and the sheep are all over, but then yes you could do it. Since they normally have the the whole island to herd on."Her interest in Otto had his eyebrows raised. "Oh so you like that, hmm? So are you looking for a pet or a helper? Cause I built Otto for his many arms to give me a hand with stuff. Or do you want a little companion to help you remember where your heart really is?" he said grinning, running one hand across her cheek. It wouldn't be too hard now that he knew the magic well enough. "I might could work on something like that, but it'd have to be smaller then Octo to go with you for traveling. What kind of creature would you want love?" She poked at him about his no human contact and he grinned. "maybe I'm exaggerating a bit too Mova...Or maybe I mean another kind of contact."They kissed again and she curled up in his lap, the comfortable feeling of her head on his chest helping him feel very connected indeed. "Oh Merlin I've missed that too..." His eyes met hers with mischievous glints as he admitted something else. "Now that you meant it, I did make some potions of stamina and alertness just in case we needed them handy." Her admittance of having missed out touched him of course and increased his ego at the same time. His smile grew and one hand came up to massage her neck as his other hand slid down to caress her curves. "We do have a lot of time to make up for, lover, and I have to make sure when you leave later you will come running back for the wedding knowing what will happen afterwards..."A kiss to her cheek, then her neck, then to her lips, speaking of someone who is going to take his time to make sure the end result was far more for the patience then the speed would make it... "I've seen it" she informed him, "when i went to visit her last week." His touch felt nice, relaxing even, and she felt some of the tension go out, no doubt his intention. She nodded when he mentioned the Moons. "By comparison yes" she agreed. "the trick is getting everyone from both branches invited and organized and then figuring out how to seat them all while thowing my family in" she pointed out. She exhaled as though the very thought was raising her stress levels. "Mum's an only child, but I have loads of cousins on that side." She smiled softly, "my aunts and their families should be easy enough, though I need to ask if they plan on bringing the younger ones." She smirked, "did Ashlyn and Anne tell you we're going dress shopping?" She ran her fingers through her hair. "If I have blue hair in the wedding pictures you'll know why." She gave the situation some thought, and then perked up. "What if we cast a disillusionment charm on the wedding? I know it'll be a little time-consuming, but that way a bunch of people in robes with wands shouldn't startle anyone."
She nodded when he asked about Otto. "I really do" she confirmed, "he's pretty incredible all in all." It had taken some getting used to originally, a mechanical Octopus who gave the impression of thinking for himself. The funny thing was, about the time she'd gotten used to it, it had been time for Vin to go back. She beamed at him, looking excited. "I um..." She paused thoughtfully, "what about a dragon?" She wasn't sure why the idea appealed so much, but it was there in her mind's eye. "Just, you know, without the fire breathing ability." She leaned into his touch when he brushed her cheek, eyes softening. He clarified his comment and her eyes took on a slightly mischievous hue. "I know" she leaned forward, brushed her lips over his, and then a moment later again, a bit more lingering. "I can try to make up for that tonight if you'd like." It wasn't like she'd mind.
Being with him this way had a strong feeling of homecoming to it, one Keela had sorely missed over the weeks she'd been traveling. Though she still technically lived at home, she hadn't gotten to spend a great deal of time there, and with the wedding looming, there had been far too much going on to linger anywhere for very long. She laughed when he mentioned the potions, couldn''t help doing so. "Just in case, huh?" She motioned to her bag. "I've got some pepper up too, only as a last resort though, its very addictive." She'd been warned at the apothecary when she bought it, and had taken the warning to heart. She tilted her head, enjoying the feel of his fingers on her skin, her eyes slid closed and an appreciative sound hummed in the back of her throat. When he spoke, her eyes opened slowly, half-lidded. She smiled, "oh trust me, I'll come running back" she assured him. "How could I not?" It was unfathomable to her by this point.
His kisses distracted her just as they always had. She raised herself up, shifting so that rather than sitting in his lap, she was straddling him on her knees. She kissed his lips, trailing down over his jaw and to his throat, she lingered there, kissing rather attentively at the collar where neck and shoulder met, wanting to show him tangibly how much she had missed him. She was eager, not only to remember, but to be remembered. [/quote]

Grinning, Vin had an idea. "Hey Mova, here's an idea. To make everything easier on us and more entertaining for them as well as relaxing, how about everyone of the guests are asked to either bring or conjure their own chairs? Sure, it won't be uniform and they might get carried away, but doesn't that kind of fit too?" His eyes popped slightly imagining what Anne would point our for a wedding dress. "Anne? Ashlyn and Anne are going dress shopping. I assume to a place which has insurance?" And then even more so one hand came up and covered his face for a moment, but not long. The idea of casting that large a spell was rather frightening! "I would think it would be easier to offer the muggles a day off the island treat with someone left behind to take care of the sheep for a partial day while they enjoy some special treatment somewhere else... A disillusionment that big would be pretty freaking huge, Keela..." He was grateful when they moved onto different subjects. Octo however was so helpful mostly because of his multiple limbs. A dragon wasn't quite the same, and it would have to be small enough for travel. Could be a challenge though. "It might take me a bit, but sure. I have to make the dragon at least small enough to go into a suitcase, compact for when you are traveling..."Especially around muggles. When she responded his hands slid up her ever so slightly as his eyes took on a seductive willing quantity. "Personally I think I would like that very much, beautiful one..." She laughed at his preparation s but he was tickled she had done some of her own as well. "Keela darling, there is only one risk of addiction here and it has nothing to do with what either of us brought along just in case!" She closed her eyes as he stroked and Vin smiled to himself, earlier slight concerns fading away. She was his, that he knew with more confidence, but the ring was going to make all worries go right out the door. Until then he wanted to be sure with his own attentions. Running back indeed. As she began to do more herself, he kept up the play of his hands across her, giving her lip service and revitalizing memories of the taste and smell of her, the textures she gave his fingers hungered for. Clothing slipped by as neither of them had worn anything with complicated closures and it wasn't long till the need for the couch was surpassed and it was a good hour later before Vin surfaced, Keela spread out underneath him with sweat on his brow. He kissed her long and sound, relishing the fact she wanted him totally, memorizing what was now really an extension of his flesh made one. "Mova..." he moaned softly in her ear as he stretched on top of her, causing a number of extremely satisfying feelings in different parts of himself, "you tempt me to tie you down so that I never have to spend time without you here again..."The stretch of her underneath him caused him to lift his weight up slightly to allow her more freedom of movement as he kissed her brow with tender affection. "You truly are amazing, love. I don't think I would consider heading back to the dorm if it was demanded." Another kiss of her lips and a twitch below the belt which told him something else and he chuckled low in his throat. "I just decided on a goal for tonight, Mova, and I think you will like this experiment I have in mind," he nuzzled her neck softly and with cherishing moves. "I think we should try out my endurance and see if it's possible for me to have trouble walking..."
