Nadya: She hadn't realized how thirsty she was until the woman put the glass in her hand. Taking an experimental sip, she nodded to herself and downed the glass much too quickly before seeming to notice the other boy. "Hello, do I know you?"
5 Apr 15, 11:45 PM
Darius: Standing at the stove, stirring in some arabic spices, he heard the noise of his mother coming in, but used to the chaos didn't tune in carefully till she whipped back out. When he heard the voice, his head turned and he tilted his head at her. "I've sene you in school, but I don't believe we've ever spoken. I'm Darius. Are you a friend of the family?"
5 Apr 15, 11:49 PM
Nadya: She seemed to consider this question much longer than would normally be necessary. "I...I don't know. I was...running I think, and there was an attack. I don't remember much of anything before that really except that my name is Nadya."
5 Apr 15, 11:54 PM
[×] Darius: Hearing this, he flashed her a frown, then turned down the heat a bit on the stove and came over. "Here, let me see your eyes." Looked closely and then felt her wrist as he added "Memory spell of some kind maybe. I think I remember you have a sister. Hmm" Feeling she was calming down he nodded as if to himself as he said "I take lessons from the school nurse. I don't remember seeing you here before so it must have happened near one of my parents and then they brought you here for your own safety I bet.""
5 Apr 15, 11:56 PM
Nadya: He looked into her eyes and she tried not to blink. "A sister?" She sounded surprised and then appeared to be thinking very hard. Wincing, she shook her head. "Nothing, its like all the details have been cleaned out." A nod, "your mom I think. She's nice."
5 Apr 15, 11:59 PM
Darius: He nodded, her confusion proving he was on the right track. "Let me tell her real quick, wait here." He walked out, but was back within five minutes. "She'll try to contact your family. You're certainly safe here." He went back to the stove and stirred the small pot.
6 Apr 15, 12:00 AM
Nadya: "Okay, great" she said, still sounding lost. It was strange to be talking about a family she couldn't remember. She bit her lip, "are you sure?" She had assumed to she was safe on the street too, and she had obviously been mistaken.
6 Apr 15, 12:03 AM
[×] Darius: He nodded. "No one can get onto the property without a family member. Heck, you can't even walk around the house without a guide. No place safer." He tried the spicy desert dish, then nodded and set it on the back of the stove to stay warm. "Anyway, you can relax here. I wonder if you got hit with a dark curse though. "
6 Apr 15, 12:04 AM
Nadya: "Really?" She looked intrigued. "So this is the only part of the house I can be in?" Watching him, she motioned toward the dish. "What are you making?" A slow nod at his comment and then her eyes widened. "A dark curse? Merlin I hope not."
6 Apr 15, 12:08 AM
Darius: He shook his head and pulled out some flour from a bag into a bowl. "Oh no, you just can't find any doors till one of us takes you through one." He motioned for her to look around. "Desert paste. It's for a pastry I''m making for dinner. I assume you will still be here then probably so you will get to try it." A nod. "Yeah, that would suck. But it's not something to worry about I guess."
6 Apr 15, 12:13 AM
Nadya: "That's...kind of cool...and kind of creepy" she decided. Glancing around the large room, she realized there must be a lot of people in this house. "I...don't know, your mom didn't really tell me what she was planning to do with me. Maybe my family will know what I was running from, I can't really remember." She looked frustrated with herself and smirked oddly at his worry comment. "Speak for yourself" she murmured sardonically. "I can't remember anything past my own name."
6 Apr 15, 12:17 AM
[×] Darius: He nodded. "Here, I can wait on this a bit. I'll show you how it works." As he wiped the flour off his hands with a towel he said "I'm sure that's part of what she is doing now." As he came over and motioned for her to follow him to a space along the wall with a cabinet he added "Well I meant about whether it will lift or not. Nothing to do but wait with those, could be you have to see someone for it to work, maybe just time. Maybe never." Turning to the wall no seeing what his words did he said "Abraham?" The ghost appeared to the side. "Hey, can you open the hallways up for her on guest? I want to show her the tower and then we'll come back the long way."
6 Apr 15, 12:22 AM
Nadya: "All right" she rose from the chair with surprisingly little trepidation. As he spoke, she frowned, and the frown deepened as he continued. "Never?" She repeated softly. "So she might never remember who she was or where she had come from? The ghost appeared, and Nadya jumped, though she appeared to study it a moment later. "Yes Master Darius" and the passage appeared as requested. "Woah" Nadya looked back and forth between the two. "How does that work?"
6 Apr 15, 12:26 AM
Darius: He shrugged. "Without knowing the spell can't tell. All kinds of things are possible with magic." He glanced at her and nodded. "Well let me show you first, then I'll explain." Stepping through the doorway, he waited til she stepped through and then shut the door. Waving to a window he said "Now you came in ground floor, but the kitchen is in the basement. Now we stepped through a door and we're in the tower. I don''t know how my ancestors did it, but the ghost runs all the connections for us."
6 Apr 15, 12:33 AM
Nadya: "That's...fair I guess." There really wasn't a lot more she could say. Following him through the door, she watched it close and then glanced out the window, only to do a double take. "So we were in the basement, and now we're..." She looked down pointedly, "definitely not." She arched a brow disbelievingly. "The ghost?" What had he called him? She couldn't remember. "Must make getting around much easier. "
6 Apr 15, 12:36 AM
[×] Darius: Now he smiled softly. "Well now that we've done it once for the exammple, we don't get to cheat any more. Mom says we have to get exercise so only my parents really have this kind of access." He opened the door and now it was a hallway leading to stairs. "Abraham follows their orders and sets access for what you are allowed in. I have more access then you being family, but you can see I think six total rooms without one of us all guest areas."
6 Apr 15, 12:41 AM
Nadya: "So its kind of like...." For a moment, a fuzzy thought seemed to be trying to surface, and then she lost it. "I'm sorry" she said after a moment. "I don't remember what I was going to say." A shrug and then: "So you climb a lot of stairs then I guess." Glancing around, she nodded. "Is the tower one of them?"
6 Apr 15, 12:45 AM
Darius: Reaching out he put a hand on her shoulder as he had been told to do to simulate understanding. For some reason it brought people comfort. At least she had on sleeves. "I got it. No problem." Then he smiled thinly again. "Run, usually. but yes." Stepping through the door he said "yep, it is. A few sitting rooms and the main areas, but not usually the kitchen. I can take you back there though."
6 Apr 15, 12:50 AM
Nadya: The hand on her shoulder surprised her, maybe because he didn't seem like the type to be overly comforting, but it did make her feel a bit better. "I bet you're pretty athletic then" she said thoughtfully. "All right" she nodded. "What's up here though?"
6 Apr 15, 12:55 AM
[×] Darius: He nodded. "I do a lot of climbing. Plus my brother challenges me a lot to stay in good shape." Without awareness he opened his shirt and pulled his shoulder sleeve down so she could see his upper arm and chest then slipped it back up without rebuttoning. Without seeming to be showing off, he then motioned in both directions "Bedrooms, nursery, storage mostly up here. Come on down--" stopping after a few feet he held out an arm to stop her as a ghost ran a chariot across the landing and into the wall intently. "Sorry. Come on downstairs a floor and I'll show you something interesting."
6 Apr 15, 12:59 AM
Nadya: "Climbing?" She was curious now. "Climbing what?" He seemed to be trying to prove his point, and he did so well enough. He was surprisingly toned for someone who didn't seem to get out much. "Do you have a lot of them? Brothers I mean?" She followed him, eyes darting here and there the entire way so that she was startled by his arm and came to an abrupt halt as the ghost missed her by mere inches. "Merlin!" she glanced in the direction the ghost had disappeared. "How many of them are there?" Shrugging as if to say 'What else would I do?' she merely followed him. "I could use interesting right now I guess."
6 Apr 15, 01:04 AM
Darius: "The House, Hogwarts. Buildings mostly." A nod as he walked. "Six." He began to lead the way again used to this clearly. "Somewhere around 40 I think, Mom collects them. You get used to them, but it's never fun walking through one." OPening a bedroom on the next level it showed a certain older style, sort of medieval. "This was my great great grandmother's rooms. The whole house used to be like this when mom got it."

6 Apr 15, 01:11 AM
Nadya: "Hogwarts" she repeated. "That's a....a school...right." She looked at him for confirmation. "Six brothers? Wow, I feel like that's a lot" As they entered the room, she glanced around curiously. "It looks kind of...French? Doesn't it?" That seemed right to her.
6 Apr 15, 01:15 AM
Darius: A frown as he stopped and looked at her. "Our school, yes. Wow, big memory swipe." He shrugged. "Wouldn't know, I've had a dozen siblings my whole life." He nodded. "I think that must have been her style. Usually the boys are in here playing, but I don't see them right now."
6 Apr 15, 01:18 AM
Nadya: "Ours, right. You know, maybe I should take notes or...something." She was becoming increasingly frustrated with the shadowy places in her memory. "A dozen?" She did sound incredulous this time. "Where are you in the mix?" He mentioned boys and she glanced around instinctively. "Your brothers? Or more ghosts?"
6 Apr 15, 01:39 AM
Darius: A sigh, he could almost hear what his mother would say. "Look, let's go back down and you can quiz me on stuff and I'll answer, all right? maybe something will jog your memory who knows." He shrugged. "Near the top I guess, but not the oldest.." then she seemed to not understand his comment. "Oh, no these are ghosts actually."
6 Apr 15, 02:34 PM
Nadya: Feeling a keen sense of information overload, Nadya merely nodded. "Sure, sounds good." A moment of hesitation and then, "Sorry if I'm asking a lot of questions. Its just weird not to remember my own life." He spoke about his placement and mentioned more ghosts, she shook her head. "You'd think you'd get enough of that at the castle..." Her eyes lit up suddenly, "Is that right? Are there ghosts at Hogwarts?"
6 Apr 15, 01:39 AM
Darius: It was logical someone would have question if the memory was taken away so he guessed he could understand that part. "No, I can understand. If my memory was gone, I would feel fairly focused on getting back to a point of understanding who I was." It sounded like some things might be still there though! A nod as he said "Each of the four houses in Hogwarts, which are the dorms, have their own ghost yes. I think you will find the ones here to be more helpful then the ones at school, but still."
6 Apr 15, 09:08 PM
Nadya: She concentrated hard on what he was saying. Ghosts, school ghosts, four houses....nothing, not even a spark. A smirk though as she answered: "Running a person over with a chariot is considered helpful around here?"
6 Apr 15, 09:11 PM
[×] Darius: He saw the smirk and realized what was coming about the time she said it. "No, of course not. But there are 40 ghosts here. Two help out with kids, two work in the kitchens, and several serve to help with alarms and watching different parts of the house for damage and vermin wards. The two boys who are normally in there play with my brothers and sisters till they reach a certain age which helps my mother a lot. Otherwise she could not deal with 5 kids under the age of ten at the same time."
6 Apr 15, 09:18 PM
Nadya: Her eyes widened noticeably this time, and her tone was understandably disbelieving. /"Forty?"/ She paused a minute as though waiting for a punchline. When it didn't come, she stared dumbly for a second before she seemed to catch herself. "Darius, how many brothers and sisters do you actually /have?/"
6 Apr 15, 09:22 PM
Darius: He nodded and then smiled very softly. "I told you mom collected them. She has written several books about wizarding ghosts. She's famous." He opened his hand and counted off on his fingers to make it easier to follow. "Four above me, 2 female 2 male, seven below with another on the way, 4 girls and 4 boys."
6 Apr 15, 09:27 PM
Nadya: "I'm really curious about how a person 'collects' ghosts" she offered. When she listened to him break down his siblings, she almost shook her head. "How do they keep up wit them all? Your parents I mean?" His mother had seemed a bit...eccentric when she'd brought Nadya here, but what he was describing was a bit beyond weird.
6 Apr 15, 09:32 PM
[×] Darius: He shruged. "That part I don't know. Mom has a method I guess." He pursed his lips. "Well the older ones help out with the younger ones. Dad is a professor at the school we go to. In fact, we're in the same dorm." Was he going to be babysitting her if she didn't hav her memory back by the time they went back to School?
6 Apr 15, 09:35 PM
Nadya: "Brave woman" Nadya murmured. "Nothing wrong with wanting a big family I guess. I...I wonder if I have one. A big family I mean." She thought about it for several seconds. "I'm sure your mom will get in touch with them and then I can go back" she said it with more resolve than she felt, or hoped she did.
6 Apr 15, 09:38 PM
Darius: "Mom doesn't stop for anyone. Except dad." He thought about what she said frowning slightly. "I think you have a brother too, not just a sister but beyond that I don't know." He nodded as he led the way back downstairs. "You are probably only here for a night or two I agree. Although I do wonder why you were attacked."
6 Apr 15, 09:47 PM
Nadya: A small smile, "I like that, she sounds fun." The thought of a brother was foreign, but somehow unsurprising. "Maybe they will be able to help me figure things out" she said softly. She frowned, wondering as well. "I'm not sure. I don't even remember why I was in the street." The thought of being in this house for even a night or two was strange. "That long you think? I wonder where I'll sleep..."
6 Apr 15, 09:52 PM
[×] Darius: Now she got a real smile, a soft one still, but fuller then anything else. "She's awesome." He nodded, hoping she would stop worrying about her memory and he could get other things finished. "Oh sure." As they reached the kitchen again he added "Hmm, might not be you, maybe your family is being targeted?" Motioning for her o sit down, he went to collect his bowl and add the rest of the ingredients. She asked about rooms and he shrugged. "We have several guest rooms. You'll be fine." When he had the rest done he walked over and sat across from her at the counter. "Okay, next question."
6 Apr 15, 10:02 PM
Nadya: The mention of her family being targeted caused her eyes to widen, not because it surprised her, but because it seemed to spark something. "Yes..." but she couldn't remember why. "Maybe" At his gesture, she sat easily and with surprising grace that spoke of training. Now that she had his undivided attention, she was a bit at a loss. "You said we were in the same house. Which one?"
6 Apr 15, 11:26 PM
Darius: An odd look. "Hmm, struck something?" He didn't miss the training, in fact he appreciated it. "It's called Slytherin. It's under the castle in the dungeons. And you can see into the bottom of the Black Lake. It's the coolest looking of the dorms.
7 Apr 15, 12:03 AM
Lindsey: Stepping back in she looked pleased to see them together. "Ah good Dare, keep her entertained for me. Would you get her set up in the guest room near yours? " Turning to Nadya she said "You family says it's too dangerous for you to be out right now and for me to hide you for the time being. Apparently your family has got a number of DE connections which are causing problems. You were on your way to find someone to marry to escape England when you got attacked. But don't worry, we'll help you out. A marriage is a good way to hide out after all."
7 Apr 15, 12:19 AM
Nadya: "Kind of, I think my family is in some kind of trouble" she answered. The way he described Slytherin house intrigued her, his mother's appearance, however, even moreso. Confirming her suspicions of danger, the woman's explanation still bewildered her. "Married, but I'm like...sixteen...I think." Still, the explanation felt right to her somehow. She glanced around before her eyes found the woman again. "So, wait, do I know you somehow?"
7 Apr 15, 12:23 AM
[×] Lindsey: "Exactly, you can't be legally on your own and it sounds like your famiily is going underground for awhile because of all this. A husband will give you leagl protection and to a pure will keep the DE at bay probably. Does arranging one sound familiar? You apparently had a set up one fall through." Walking across the room she sniffed what Darius had going on the stove and flashed him an approving look. Going into a drawer she got him a piece of candy and handed it to him with a look of 'go ahead, you've earned it.' "Not directly, but I know of your family. They sounded relieved to know you were here."
7 Apr 15, 12:25 AM
Darius: Looking slightly off guard, Darius took the candy and popped it in his mouth and then went back to stiring the stuff in his bowl, working it into some kind of dough.
7 Apr 15, 12:27 AM
Nadya: "DE" she repeated. "Death...eaters?" That sounded familiar, if not right. "They were deatheaters weren't they? My family?" She watched the interaction between mother and son only half-focused. So she had a family, they knew she was okay but she couldn't go home. Merlin. "They're okay?" she questioned, feeling concern even though she couldn't remember the people she was worried about.
7 Apr 15, 12:29 AM
Lindsey: She pursed her lips and hesitantly nodded. "I think so. But they must be in trouble or have turned against someone I think. Highly dangerous." She smiled warmly at her son's unquestioning obedience and saw he knew she was proud of him. "Yes, far as the message went. I think even if you get your memory back you won't be able to go near them for awhile, more then a year I think is the feeling I got. We'll get you all set up though."
7 Apr 15, 12:31 AM
Nadya: Simultaneously relieved buy also very confused, she seemed to have forgotten Darius for a moment. Here were people who were obviously well-off, who had no connections to her family, offering to take care of someone who was in an obviously dangerous situation. Some of her inner-Slytherin peaked through the haze of her memory-loss and she gave the woman a skeptical look. "Why?"
7 Apr 15, 12:34 AM
[×] Lindsey: Seeing the look and hearing the question she smiled with her eyes in particular. "Dare, would you go make sure that bedroom is made up with fresh sheets please?" She watched him as he got up and exited without haste but not slow. As soon as he was gone she looked at Nadya a moment, her mouth thoughtful before she spoke. "I have a situation I think you can help me with. So there is an equal trade, trust me there.."
7 Apr 15, 12:37 AM
Nadya: Nadya watched the other boy leave the room before returning her focus to his mother. Her expression wasn't so much cautious as wary. "What sort of trade?"
7 Apr 15, 12:39 AM
[×] Lindsey: "Darius is a good boy, but he's too centered on his own world. He hasn't seen any advantage to girls so he doesn't change his patterns of behavior." She sighed and rubbed the bridge of her nose. "If you are willing, be married to him for at least a year till your family situation is stabilized, get him to see the advantages of having a woman in his life, and we'll protect you. You won't have to flee the country and you can see he needs some help." She watched Nadya's face.
7 Apr 15, 01:54 AM
[×] Darius: The 'good boy' checked the guest room while sucking on the sweet. It was lime and cherry and he didn't mind it, unaware of what it was adding to his body's systems down low. Once he had checked the guest room he stepped across the hall to his own room and retrieved a blank notebook he was not using yet form his stash and a quill and ink. With these collected, Darius turned and began the walk back downstairs, unaware of his mother's plans for his near future.
8 Apr 15, 02:36 PM
Nadya: Rather than freak out as some might have done, Nadya took a breath first and considered the options in front of her. "A year?" She looked to the woman for confirmation. She could handle nearly anything in the short term. She was also a Slytherin for a reason, and she had suspected there was a price the moment the conversation had begun. Something in her mind assured her she could do this, and that not only could it be done, she could do it well. In exchange for a place to stay and protection while she tried to regain her memories, it didn't seem like a bad deal. She could also see the benefits of asking a stranger rather than someone they knew. "I'd like to get to know him a bit better first" she answered carefully. "He said we were in the same house, but I obviously can't remember anything except..." Something did crop up suddenly, "The hair, they all have crazy colors don't they?"
8 Apr 15, 02:40 PM
[×] Lindsey: She nodded. "At least." She chuckled softly, "You can risk two days I think. If they decide to send someone to ask for you from the Ministry, I have no way to legally resist. Once you are my daughter in law it's another whole story." She seemed amused by the hair thing. "Yes, my mother had a magical incident because of the way she changed her hair constantly and it stuck. Mine had been two layered since I was a baby. All of my children share that trait."
8 Apr 15, 02:48 PM
Nadya: People out looking for her never really occurred to Nadya. If what Lindsey said was true then she doubted her parents were going to report her missing, but there was still the risk she supposed. "Two days" she repeated, "and he's just going to....go for this?" Darius didn't sound like the type to even consider marriage.
8 Apr 15, 02:50 PM
Lindsey: Seeing her leaning more towards agreeing, Lin kept close watch, but appeared relaxed. "You let me handle that part. Dare is a good kid. If I tell him to protect you, you will be safe with him even at school."
8 Apr 15, 02:58 PM
Nadya: She couldn't help thinking it was strange that a teenager would be that obedient. Something about it seemed off somehow, but she let it go. "All right" she said softly. "I guess we can talk about it in a couple of days, can't we?"
8 Apr 15, 03:02 PM
Darius: Walking back into the kitchen, Dare said "Room's ready," and handed Nadya the blank journal book, quill, and ink. "You said you wanted to make notes." Then he went back to the dough and took the bowl over o the stove leaving the two women to their conversation as he started in on setting the dough in a pan.
8 Apr 15, 03:04 PM
[×] Lindsey: She nodded. "Ask any questions you want in the in-between, I'll try to help. He's not the easiest to read sometimes." She patted Dare on the back after he returned. "Excellent! How long till that part of dinner is done, Dare?"
8 Apr 15, 03:10 PM
Nadya: For a moment, she looked from him to the journal and back again, and then she laughed softly. It was clear he hadn't gotten the joke, rueful though it had been. "Thanks Darius" Turning back to his mother, she nodded. "I will" she answered. Glancing at his back, she bit her lip, considering the two of them and wondering what in Merlin's name she'd gotten herself into.
8 Apr 15, 03:13 PM
Lindsey: When he answered "Another ten minutes? then they have to rise." Lindsey nodded and said "I want you to be Nadya's guide the next few days and help her with whatever she needs, all right?" He nodded and went back to the stove to get thigns finished up.
8 Apr 15, 03:18 PM
Nadya: The whole thing felt a bit like a dream, being in a strange place with no memory of who she was or how she'd come to be there really it definitely had the feel of a dream. Smiling hesitantly, she stood from the table and moved over to the stove. "What...is it?" She asked softly, studying the contents curiously.
8 Apr 15, 03:23 PM
Darius: He looked up at her and then said "It's a savory pastry. It's made in the Northern African arabic countries. We live a part of the year In Egypt during the summer where dad is from." He tilted his head at her. "Do you remember Professor Silver-Moon?"
8 Apr 15, 03:32 PM
Nadya: "Egypt?" Now she was intrigued. "Like pyramids and the sphinx and things?" That sounded right at least. The mention of Professor Silver-Moon did jog something, but it wasn't what she might have expected. "I remember something about a maze and a pink mohawk" She scrunched up her nose. "That makes no sense."
8 Apr 15, 03:37 PM
Darius: He nodded. "It's one of the places our family is. Ever been?" He did nod however. "It does. Dad's the jokster, I don't know why he likes pink so much." He made a face, clearly it was not a color he thought much of. "He does a maze at one point in every year to test his students. You have to know him to see the humor in it."
8 Apr 15, 03:40 PM
Nadya: "I don't think so." she answered. Thinking hard, she finally added: "Russia and Italy, I think that's where my family is from." She pulled a face. "Weird mix" The look she gave him was almost disbelieving, but she could remember the maze vaguely, and so she kept quiet about it. "Is he here?" She glanced around. "Actually, if there are so many of you, where is everyone?"
8 Apr 15, 03:44 PM
Darius: "Oh I've been to Italy. Well to a castle in the mountains at least." he shook his head at her question. "Nope, he's at school getting ready for classes and everyone's outside playing Quidditch right now. Except for the small ones, I think mom has most of them down for naps right now." He gave her a rueful look. "It will be crazy here in a bit for supper."
8 Apr 15, 03:47 PM
Nadya: She could remember Italy fairly well actually, and so she brightened, glad to be on a subject she could remember. "What was that like?" She was a bit disappointed about his father, if only because it might have been nice to have somewhat familiar face in the mix. She seemed to pass over the quidditch comment, having never been much of a fan. "I bet" she said when he mentioned supper. "Do any of them know me?"
8 Apr 15, 03:50 PM
Darius: he thought about it a moment. "Very cold, there was like five foot deep snow everywhere and no fires going." He nodded, "All of them will have seen you above age 11 probably. I don't think any of them are friends, I don't know." He wondered if she would be able to deal with the heavy numbers.
8 Apr 15, 03:56 PM
Nadya: "Sounds right" she answered. "The house my dad's family lives in isn't ancient or anything, but its older." She looked surprised at herself, as though another piece of the puzzle had slid into place, before becoming distracted by the thought of his siblings. If none of them knew her, that was one thing, but what if someone didn't like her for something she couldn't remember doing? The possibilities made her nervous.
8 Apr 15, 04:00 PM
Darius: "It was haunted, mom was there for some research. I didn't really get to see much." An interested look. "So it's coming back slowly? Interesting. Well at least you know it's not a dark curse then." She seemed nervous about the chaos. "If it gets to be too much you can eat in your room. I don't think anyone would object.""
8 Apr 15, 04:03 PM
Nadya: She shivered at the word haunted, though she didn't mind ghosts so much unless she managed to walk through one. "I met Helena once" it was disconcerting how bits and pieces just came to her. "I think I was with my sister." She gave him a grateful look, "are you sure?
8 Apr 15, 04:09 PM
Darius: he nodded. "She's too quiet I think. But maybe that's what happens when you grow up with ghost nannies." He shrugged and went to ask his mother, coming back a moment later. "Sure, she's good with that. I can bring stuff up there before everyone comes in if that's all right with you?" He put the wrapped pasteries in the oven and checked the other pot. "Mom doesn't cook. Dad and I do most of it unless the cook is here, but it's her night off."
8 Apr 15, 04:12 PM
Nadya: "Ghost nannies? Really?" She arched a brow. "How does that work?" Taking a moment, she inhaled deeply, and was surprised by the strange yet pleasant aroma. "Thank you" she said softly, "for showing me around and everything. I think I would get lost here if I did know where I was going."
8 Apr 15, 04:18 PM
[×] Darius: Another nod. "I can show you later after supper if you like." A small smile at her comment though. "Heh, this is why Abraham doesn't let guests have much access. You can't get very lost with only six rooms, but I have not taken you to yours yet. Come on, we can do that while this bakes." He led the way to the door which was now there and through it, down a short hallway to the stairs and then up.

8 Apr 15, 04:25 PM
Nadya: "Sure" she answered. "That would be great" He seemed very nice and quick to help. Maybe being married to him wouldn't be so bad after all. "That's probably true" she agreed. Nervous, but undeniably curious to see the space that might be hers for a while, she hesitated only a brief moment. "Okay" and she followed him. "Merlin" she said as they crested the stairs. "I wonder how many staircases your house has." If there were as many rooms as she had a feeling their were, it didn't bear contemplating.
8 Apr 15, 04:31 PM
[×] Darius: A nod. "Okay." His mother had asked him to be her guide and he was being helpful because of that. He hesitated. "I think I've seen six, but the floors can seem confusing. We don't get to see everything, Only my parents and Vin get full access." He led the way to third floor and pointed across the hall at a door. "That's my room if you need anything. This one is yours." and he swung the door open.

Darius: he thought about it a moment. "Very cold, there was like five foot deep snow everywhere and no fires going." He nodded, "All of them will have seen you above age 11 probably. I don't think any of them are friends, I don't know." He wondered if she would be able to deal with the heavy numbers.

Nadya: She shivered at the word haunted, though she didn't mind ghosts so much unless she managed to walk through one. "I met Helena once" it was disconcerting how bits and pieces just came to her. "I think I was with my sister." She gave him a grateful look, "are you sure?

Darius: he nodded. "She's too quiet I think. But maybe that's what happens when you grow up with ghost nannies." He shrugged and went to ask his mother, coming back a moment later. "Sure, she's good with that. I can bring stuff up there before everyone comes in if that's all right with you?" He put the wrapped pasteries in the oven and checked the other pot. "Mom doesn't cook. Dad and I do most of it unless the cook is here, but it's her night off."
