21 Dec 14, 09:16 PM
Taran: Rolls eyes as he turns away from the nurse, having heard enough warnings. Picks up his wand and back with one hand, slides the wand into the sling holding his left arm immobile. Turns and steps into the hallway glad to be out of the infirmary.
21 Dec 14, 09:29 PM
Rose: She turns the corner to the hospital wing in time to catch the end of Madame Pomfrey's lecture. "Hi Taranis" she grinned at him. "Don't worry Madame Pomfrey, I'll make sure he gets back to the dorm in one piece." The Matron gave her a look, probably because she was the reason he was there in the first place. She held up a hand "Promise" She grinned at him cheekily. "How're you feeling, Captain?"
21 Dec 14, 09:31 PM
Taran: Seeing her he both smiled and flinched, as if he thought she had plans for him, follwed by a grin. "I'll be okay, Ma'am." To her he shook his head and said "No Captain yet, but thanks for the faith. I'll get there someday. So Far I'm intact, that's good enough for me. My head stopped ringing last night sometime."
21 Dec 14, 09:34 PM
Rose: She stood in the doorway, waiting for him to get past the barrier that was Madame Pomfrey. "Of course you're going to be Captain, I need a rival" she winked at him. Holding up three fingers, she smirked. "How many?" She laughed, "I warned you after you knocked me off during scrimmage last week" she reminded him. "Guess this makes us even."
21 Dec 14, 09:37 PM
[×] Taran: Exiting the infirmary he turned in the hallway as they spoke. "Ha, okay I can deal with that. You hit hard, might toughen me up some." Another roll of the eyes. "Three up two down, probably two up behind your back." A frown, but not a bad one. "I didn't break any of your bones if I remember because I pulled most of the force of it when I realized we were too close to a wall."
21 Dec 14, 09:53 PM
Rose: "Nope" She showed him her other hand. "Four fingers, you're losing your knack for prediction Summerby." She gave him an apologetic half-smile from under her lashes. "No, you didn't." Leaning up, she kissed his cheek. "Thanks Taranis, sorry I cost you a night with the dragon lady."
21 Dec 14, 09:55 PM
Taran: He made a cheered up face. "d@mn. Too bad no windows here." She kissed him and he blushed slightly, very lightly. "Eh, I'll heal, but you need to promise me you'll work more on braking and then we'll be all good." He winked at her
21 Dec 14, 09:59 PM
Rose: She tilted her head and rolled her eyes at him playfully. "Too bad for you" she agreed. A slight upturn of the lips as she added, "and miss the chance to be on the receiving end of all those death glares from all those girls who thought I killed you?" She laughed softly, "never." She shrugged, "Come on, I traded rounds with Amberson tonight so I could 'nurse you back to health.'"
21 Dec 14, 10:02 PM
Taran: A one armed shrug. "Oh yuck, is it too late to pretend I died?" They started walking even as he gave her a startled look. "Oh well now I do feel better! Amberson, goodness what did you have to promise for that."" He found the boy irritating.
21 Dec 14, 10:05 PM
Rose: A laugh as she shook her head. "I could try to sneak you into the Lions' dorm, but you know, then you'll have all my dorm mates to deal with, and some of them snore." She gave him an irritated look and puffed a short breath. "A date next Hogsmeade weekend" she muttered. "Maybe I'll pretend /I/ died."
21 Dec 14, 10:10 PM
Taran: A look of disgust, but secretly pleased she was willing to joke about it. "Ah yeah, I guess I should just stick with the girls then. Merlin," he spent a lot of time trying to avoid them; his blond locks seemed to be a magnet for them. "A date? Oh wow, sorry about that. You need a chapeone or someone to use for an interupt to escape let me know."
21 Dec 14, 10:15 PM
Rose: "Probably, or you could sneak out to me and I could help you work off all that bed rest." The smile hinted at innuendo, though they both knew what she actually meant. "You could always make a dramatic entrance and declare your undying love for me you know" she told him conversationally. "That could be fun." She shook her head. "Its not that big a deal, maybe he'll think I'm dull" she grinned mischievously.
21 Dec 14, 10:19 PM
[×] Taran: A shake of his head at her double meanings. "Oh I know I can fly, that's all in the hips anyway and those only got a little bruised. You wanna see?" A smirk. A sigh this time. "I tell you, I think if I pick anyone the whole group will try to take that one out. I won't do that to you till the cup is within sight." He grinned at his joke. "Ha, I doubt that unless you try really hard to be."
21 Dec 14, 10:23 PM
Rose: She gave him a sly look, enjoying the ease of his response. "Sure, your dorm or mine?" A shrug as she shook her head, "so you pick a girl who's tough enough to handle it" she pointed out the obvious. "You don't strike me as the type to go for the 'princess' anyway." She gave him an 'oh really?' look and then shoved him playfully. "Bring it on, I could take them" she said with easy confidence. She wrinkled her nose, "where's the fun in that? If I'm going to try really hard for something its' going to be for the fun of it."
21 Dec 14, 10:27 PM
Taran: He laughed, maybe a touch more of a blush. "Mine, I think I have an easier time getting you past my dormmates then you have with yours." Lions could be so over passionate about everything. A raised eyebrow at her. "Excuse me? Princess? No, I'm no prince and that sounds like someone I can't afford to keep in clothes. It's not so much a matter of who can handle it as much as I would feel very guilty sticking someone with that crowd! Not fair in the slightest." A look of disbelief. "All right, a challenge then. I don't think you could be dull if you tried."
21 Dec 14, 10:32 PM
Rose: "Its a date then" she agreed. Though without intent of course. She gave him a teasing look. "I dunno, blonde hair, blue eyes, polite, I think you're very princely" she teased. She batted her lashes at him. "Oh Taranis! You are /so/ dreamy..." Her voice rose an octive and she clasped her hands in front of her for emphasis. She shrugged one shoulder casually. "Some day you might meet a girl who makes that choice without your permission." She gave him a stubborn look. "Fine" Her expression lost all animation and her eyes went blank. "Did I ever tell you about my grandmother's fascination with collecting classical antique furniture?" She threatened, "I could talk about it for /hours/."
21 Dec 14, 10:37 PM
Taran: A soft snort. "Oh goodness, please not another one..." Although she had a point with the rest of her statement. "Maybe, we'll see. So far I'm just giggled at a lot. " A glance at her face and a grin. "Oh sounds like you have a future career in furniture selling! Please, tell me in detail, it's a subject I know nothing about..."
21 Dec 14, 10:42 PM
Rose: She pretended offense. "Hey! I'll have you know I'm a fantastic date!" She huffed, "fine then, see if I ever offer to rescue you from any persistent fangirls again." A laugh, "trust me, I know. They follow you around like you're just going to turn around one day and pick a wife out of the mass of them." She rolled her eyes at him, "smart arse" she mumbled under her breath. "Okay, you win, I don't do dull."
21 Dec 14, 10:47 PM
Taran: He drew himself up, stopping for a moment. "Hey now, I'm no prince and I know it, but I didn't say anything about your dating potential, only about the fact you sounded there like one of them which you clearly know rubs me the wrong way." He stuck his tongue out at her. A smil at winning the dull point however. "The point stands, however, some day you'll be in the business of selling furniture. And no, there is nothing dull about you that I've ever heard of!" He raised the cast with a slight wince. "For instance."
21 Dec 14, 10:52 PM
Rose: "Maybe not, but you're a d@mn good seeker" she complimented. "So" she was smiling again. "Does that mean there's a right way to rub you?" She raised her eyebrows at him and smirked. He raised the cast and she nodded, satisfied. After a second, she lifted her wand out of the pocket of her jeans and waved it. A bold, black cursive signature became visible on the cast. She had signed it simply 'Rose' with a heart on the end. "There, I like to sign my work, and that ought to keep them glaring at me over their eggs."
21 Dec 14, 10:56 PM
Taran: H flashed her a smile and a "Thanks!" Her next words were flirting again and he fumbled for just a second. "I'm sure there is, I'll let you know when I figure it out myself." That one had almost made her sound interested! Darn Lions, always pushing borders... Her actions with the wand had him start walking again with a sigh. "d@mn, I didn't think of that. Now they will want to sign it. Maybe...AH! I'll make sure only the team players get to do it and say I'm saving it for them and the other side." He winked at her, his smile bright.
21 Dec 14, 11:02 PM
Rose: She snorted, "you're easy, Taranis" she accused. "Or you can tell them a jealous Lion put an ink repelling charm on it" she grinned. "Save yourself the trouble." They reached the stairs where they could potentially part ways and she paused. "So what do you think, my RoR offer stands or you can go and risk the devoted attentions of those lovely girls."
21 Dec 14, 11:10 PM
[×] Taran: He made a face at her. "Sorry I'm pretty straight forward with most stuff. I try to avoid misleading people." That would be his d@mn father's fault too! "Did you?" He blinked, he'd only seen her cast one charm but that story wouldn't work otherwise in a school filled with wands. A glance at the stairs, a second to think about her earlier comments, and he breathed out. "I should let you get the nursing taken care of so you can say it with a straight face later. And you did sacrifice your free time to help me out which I do appreciate a lot. Sure, ROR, why not."
21 Dec 14, 11:13 PM
Rose: Another wave of the wand and she winked at him. "There, no misleading" she responded, leading the way up the stares. "I did" she agreed. She shrugged, "not much of a sacrifice really. It was you or Amberson." She threw a little extra sway into her walk as she preceeded him up the stairs.
21 Dec 14, 11:15 PM
Taran: A smile now and a nod of thanks. "Perfect." She spoe and he laughed adding "I meant giving up date time for him to switch with you. Though I can understand not wanting to patrol with him. I just always split up when he's on to 'cover more ground' I always say."
21 Dec 14, 11:19 PM
Rose: "Yeah, it kind of defeats the purpose of rooting people out of broom closets when he's trying to talk me into the closet, you know?" She told him over her shoulder, "I told him I didn't want to tarnish by golden reputation."
21 Dec 14, 11:21 PM
Taran: A more serious look. "Oh, is it getting to be that bad?" Maybe he should say something to the boy. His eyes did catch a view of her ahead of him, but he was polite enough to put his eyes down at his feet. Rose was a good friend, he wouldn't do that to her when she already ha a guy giving her a rough time.
21 Dec 14, 11:24 PM
Rose: "Nah" she smiled, "nothing I can't handle. I promise if he put his hands anywhere I didn't want them he would only do it once." She slowed, giving him a second to catch her. "Not to be the bearer of bad news, but we had a meeting to discuss the Christmas dance while you were incapacitated and since you weren't around to vote yourself off the chaperone committee.." She drifted off with a sheepish look.
21 Dec 14, 11:29 PM
Taran: He looked relieved, though it bothered him inside still some. "Yes well he should know that no means no too. So glad I don't have to deal with him everyday." She let him catch up and then delivered bad news. He made a face. "Merlin, how much fun. Ah well at least it will let me be involved in the matching then. I can avoid most of the fans that way." Always had to look on the bright side somehow.
21 Dec 14, 11:37 PM
Rose: "Trust me, Taranis" she assured him. "He would." She smirked, "I think you're still going to have to dance, just not as much." She sighed, "Gran has already been sending be dress samples" she confided. "Big fluffy things" she added in mock horror. They reached the seventh floor, and she willed the room to appear, following the pattern. When it did appear, she led the way, entering an old fashioned room with several training dummies placed sporadically and targets on the walls. She tuned to him then. "You don't mind if I strip do you?" Without waiting for an answer, she was already shedding clothes.

21 Dec 14, 11:45 PM
Taran: A nod, he knew she could handle guys, but this one in particular he felt needed to have his head banged a couple of times. Not his place unfortunately. "Dress samples? I-- what, like a sketch of them?" He had no idea how you samples a dress honestly. "Uh sure go ahead" as he turned away and exaimed the room. It was very asian looking, though he wasn't sure which culture it was honestly having little experience with such places.
21 Dec 14, 11:47 PM
Rose: Finished, she nodded.
21 Dec 14, 11:48 PM
Rose: "Yes, like sketches." She bent and began stretching. "Horrifying sketches of big fluffy things that look like they might eat me."
21 Dec 14, 11:52 PM
[×] Taran: Fluffy things that might eat you. Taran laughed. "Your grandmother must have her head stuck in another century then. It does sound a bit horrible. Fortunately I have no extra parents to keep me dressed in a certain style.
22 Dec 14, 12:59 AM
Rose: "Yes, it is...necessary" she sighed. "I am the only non-squib in my generation so far" she admitted. "So my parents are...pretty adamant about it." Pulling a set of throwing knives out of the bag she had left by the wall, she held them up. "But I should have at least one more year before the dreaded letter comes." She eyed the target closest to her and hurled the first knife toward it. It stuck firmly about an inch off center. Shaking her head in an attempt to clear it, she smirked. "And in the mean time I do this."
22 Dec 14, 01:02 AM
Taran: "Ouch. DO you get any choices or are they making plns without your input?" He wondered how strict her parents were. Watching her throw blades made him feel good he wasn't one of the dummies for sure! "How did you get into throwing knives?"
22 Dec 14, 01:13 AM
Rose: "I think it depends on my choice. If I gave them someone I thought my work, and the lines were good I think they would listen, but really, have you met most of the guys here?" She rolled her yes, smiling wryly. "Can you imagine what a guy like Amberson would do?"
22 Dec 14, 01:15 AM
Taran: He nodded. "I think I can say I have and yeah, unless you choose much younger there's not a good choice." The lines were good? He wondered what her parents desided the lines were actually. "Oh he would defintely try to use the situation for himself, true."
22 Dec 14, 01:25 AM
Rose: She shrugged, "I mean, there are guys I like, teammates, that kind of thing, but it seems weird to think about..." Another sigh, "well, you know" A nod, "So would most guys, finding one I can trust who would volunteer for something like that and who my parents would go for...." She hurled the second knife, harder this time and it dipped low, barely hitting the target." She turned the third knife over in her palm. "Is like trying to hit these things when I'm in a bad mood."
22 Dec 14, 01:30 AM
Taran: He nodded, understanding what she meant about teammates. "Yeah I can see the problem. Well you have another whole year really, who knows what can happen, right? Your family still live in Italy?" A purse of the lips. "Yes well I don't think bad moods and knives are ever a good combination really," he chuckled
22 Dec 14, 02:06 AM
Rose: "True" she acknowledged. "Yes, in Perugia" She turned the knife again, laughing softly when he spoke. "What, don't you trust me?" Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes for a moment before she opened them again, hurling the knife at the target to her left, she smirked when it found its mark. "Just needed to get my head is all."
22 Dec 14, 02:16 AM
[×] Taran: So they lived in Italy. An idea was percolating in his mind, causing him to frown in concentration a minute. "Trust never entered into it, my dear, it was merely an observation that a bad mood with anyone and a knife are a bad combination." A grin. "Had to focus, eh? "
22 Dec 14, 02:39 PM
Rose: A half smile as she nodded. "That is true enough I guess." She sighed, "just needed to get my head on straight." Crossing the room, she retrieved the knives. "Want to try?" She held one out to him, handle out.
22 Dec 14, 03:01 PM
[×] Taran: He eyed the knife warily. "Not really my thing. I've always had an issue with aggressive stuff, I'm much better at defense. Besides," he motioned at his arm, "I don't think my balance is good right now anyway. But feel free to continue, I'll watch."
22 Dec 14, 03:01 PM
Taran: He eyed the knife warily. "Not really my thing. I've always had an issue with aggressive stuff, I'm much better at defense. Besides," he motioned at his arm, "I don't think my balance is good right now anyway. But feel free to continue, I'll watch."
22 Dec 14, 03:28 PM
Rose: "The best defense is a good offense you know" she argued, but retracted the knife. She arched a brow at him, "How long until you can get the cast off?"
22 Dec 14, 03:30 PM
Taran: He waved it away with a smile. "I'll defend with spells while you throw things at the enemy next time we get attacked." He shrugged. "Couple of days, she said too much too fast is bad for healing. Got to be backin the morning for another potion. Nasty stuff. But it wiill go faster with you nursing me back to health of course." He chuckled.
22 Dec 14, 03:37 PM
Rose: A nod as she sat the knives to the side for a moment. "Probably" she agreed. Approaching the dummy a few feet away, she studied it. "Sometimes I wonder if the room just has an endless supply of these things or what" she commented, put paused to turn and grin at him when he spoke. "Of course, if you're a good audience I'll take you downstairs for hot cocoa later" she teased him softly.
22 Dec 14, 03:39 PM
[×] Taran: "I'e never seen it run out of anything really, makes you wonder sometimes why we don't all have houses like it." He studied her backside as she looked at the dummy, before dropping to her feet as she turned around. "So, you need applause for the individual hits? Or what would you like in reward as a response?"
22 Dec 14, 03:42 PM
Rose: Intrigued, she nodded. "That's a thought" she agreed. "Like a whole house of come and go rooms, or maybe just a come and go room as a whole house." A half smile with a mischievous glint. "Now that's a dangerous choice to give a girl, Taranis."
22 Dec 14, 06:05 PM
Taran: She had the idea easily as he added "Exactly, it must be a lot easier then just making up homes of wizard expanded magic." Seeing her smile as she spoke he gave her back a barely-contained smile. "Ah that might be true, but I'm at a disadvantage right now and you are taking care of me right? So I thik you can be totally trusted not to take it too far." Then he smiled.
22 Dec 14, 06:31 PM
Rose: "Easier, sure, but not as much fun. There are a lot of them back home." She nodded, eyes laughing as she smiled back at him. "Right", and then she tilted her head, studying him with a mischievous look in her eyes. Picking up her knives again, she turned back to face him. "Ten targets and you have to wear Gryffindor colors to our match against Slytherin next week."
22 Dec 14, 06:37 PM
[×] Taran: The way she said right made his eyebrows raise up some. "So, you would have me wearing red when my sisters are in Slytherin? That's quite a reward. So then, what's the punishment for missing one of them? And what is a miss exactly? Can you just hit any part of it an it counts?"
22 Dec 14, 06:54 PM
Rose: She arched a brow. "it is a pretty high price" she agreed. "So we'll say dead center." She hesitated, "and if I miss..." She bit her bottom lip thoughtfully. "I'll cheer for Hufflepuff in all of your games for the rest of the season? Excluding when we beat you in the playoffs of course."
22 Dec 14, 06:57 PM
Taran: He nodded. "Dead center. Right, that clears that up." A snort about the playoffs. "Uh huh, playofs are fair game. Seems straight forward. And all I have to do is sti here and watch you do it? I like these sorts of games." He chose a bench nearby and sat down, squinting at the far targets. "It's rather remarkable to me that you can hit them at uch a distance anyway, Rose, but go ahead, I'll agree to this."
22 Dec 14, 07:02 PM
Rose: "All you have to do is watch" she agreed. She turned to smirk at him over her shoulder as she lined up with the first of the nearest three targets. A deep breath, and a flick of her wrist saw it find its mark easily enough. The next two didn't prove difficult either. As she went to retrieve her knives for the next set, she spoke: "Isn't it kind of odd that your mother wants you to marry someone outside of Britain, but she still sent you to Hogwarts?"
22 Dec 14, 07:05 PM
Taran: So the first three were good and he didn't have any problem with her placements. "Nope. Hogwarts is free. To send a student to any of the other schools wouldn't be under their local systems and would have cost more money not to mention travel."
22 Dec 14, 07:13 PM
Rose: She nodded understanding. "Makes sense. My parents didn't really have issues with the money, they were mostly concerned with sending me so far out of their reach." The next three sailed in relatively quick succession, but the last of that set veered an inch or so to the right. "d@mn" she murmured, "Got a jersey I can borrow?"
22 Dec 14, 07:20 PM
Taran: He shrugged; few people at Hogwarts had issues with money he knew. "I can see that. So they sent you here anyway? Was that in hoe you find someone?" He watched the way she threw and admired the control over her form, but his eyes did linger slightly. "Oh. Oh I hadn't thought of that. First you sign my cast, then you wear one of my--" He suddenly smiled at the thought of his name on her back. "I think I might enjoy this."
22 Dec 14, 07:24 PM
Rose: "Yes" she said simply. "Someone with no Italian or Greek ancestry to speak of. I think my odds are pretty good." She rolled her eyes at him. "Don't get used to it, Summerby." She stowed the knives in her bag and then stood up to glare playfully up at him. "Maybe I'll even sit in your cheering section" she added sarcastically, "bet I could auction off that Jersey for a lot." She winked at him.
22 Dec 14, 07:29 PM
[×] Taran: A nod, thought a thoughtful one now. "Hmm. Yes, you do have good odds here for that. Any of the UK crowd who was concerned about the issue of genes would find that an advantage." He watched her wondering if she would make the connection. A narrowed eye. "You don't have to stop just because of a point, Rose, And no, I'm not loaning you one just for yu to sell it, goof." He hesitated. "Although would the money be more then the jersey cost..."
22 Dec 14, 07:40 PM
Rose: She smirked, tone still teasing. "Like you?" She batted her lashes at him again. "Well, I don't know, it is all very sudden..." She grinned, "I wouldn't sell your stuff, and you know it Taranis" but then she laughed, "probably, but I'd enjoy wearing it more just to bother them."
22 Dec 14, 07:47 PM
Taran: He smiled, half-teasing. "Who knows? My mother wants new genes around. Doesn't mean I'm going o write her tonight about a possibility." A bark of laughter. "True, ought to try a date first, but you were interested i seeing my bruises. Not very romantic though." A chuckle. "But wearing it would make you even more a target. Maybe I should take advantage of this deal like you said and you can help me get the fans off my back since you believe you can handle it."
22 Dec 14, 07:54 PM
Rose: She paused, giving it some thought. "Its not the worst idea I've ever heard" she agreed. "But I'm good with holding off too I think." She gave him an innocent look. "You mean all though scrimmage matches don't count as dates? Color me heartbroken." She shook her head, not looking particularly concerned by his target comment. "All right, I'll bite. What did you have in mind?"
22 Dec 14, 08:00 PM
Taran: She liked the idea? Taran felt a bit warm suddenly. "Besides, you wearing my jersey may make it to her ears before I tell her knowing these gossips." The matches part brought a roll of his eyes. "Please, while they might fun and exciting, I don't think anyone really counts those. Unless you want to count them just between us." He smirked. "Well, if I say we're dating and you start wearing my jersey, that will start the gossip easily enough. But if we keep it up the rest of the season, minus the championship time of course, surely we can wear them out by being seen around each other all the time, right?"
22 Dec 14, 08:10 PM
Rose: "Very likely" she agreed. She shook her head, "Nah, those were just for fun." Taking a step closer, she crossed her arms and smirked at him. "Taranis, as much fun as 'pretending to date the guy with the fanclub' sounds" she tilted her head, up to meet his eyes. "Wouldn't it just be easier to /actually/ try it?" She shrugged, "what better way to figure out if we could make something work long term. That is the point isn't it?"
22 Dec 14, 08:16 PM
[×] Taran: She was far more direct then he had expected by far. "So, you want to go out then? Hmm." His eyes met hers, but his mind was running a million miles an hour. "I is indeed the point. Okay, pick when, I'll pick were for the date."
22 Dec 14, 08:25 PM
Rose: "I'd love to" she answered. "Sweet of you to ask" she grinned. Eyeing his cast, she gave him a rueful look. "How about this weekend? Saturday? Its only fair that you have use of all your extremities."
22 Dec 14, 08:29 PM
Taran: He grinned back. Saturday it is then, morning or afternoon?" A glance down at his arm. Not too many reasons to need that so much as far as he could see. "Ah...yes, I can see how that could be an advantage. I choose the black lake for a picnic then. A special picnic.""
22 Dec 14, 08:32 PM
Rose: "Afternoon" she answered. "I go running in the mornings." She smiled, "Better give the elves the heads up then. I'm sure they'll enjoy helping you out for that." A smile tugged at the corners of her lips when she added. "When I write my parents about this later, I'll leave out the part about being half-dressed....and probably also the knives."
22 Dec 14, 08:36 PM
[×] Taran: Running, ah so that was her thing. "All right, I do my practices at different times as well so that works." He grinned. "Oh I have an understanding with a friend who spends time with the elves. He'll wrangle me something." A smirk. "Tell them the other side has agreed to a meeting on strategies but you had to bribe them with a date to get them to the table to talk." He chuckled
22 Dec 14, 08:39 PM
Rose: "Well, aren't you prepared for everything" she laughed softly. "I might" she retrieved her bag and began shrugging into her clothes. "Come on, Taran. I'll treat you to a drink in the kitchens before Amberson starts rooting everyone out tonight." She shouldered her bag. "Deal?"
22 Dec 14, 08:42 PM
Taran: A half nod. "Well most things. No one can be prepared for everything of course." He smiled at her laugh. Wedging himself up he stood and said "All right, best we get a move on then. Did you get all your knives?"
22 Dec 14, 08:45 PM
Rose: She patted her bag. "Yep, all safely stashed away." She pulled the tie out of her hair and shook it out. "Think you'll make it?" she asked him teasingly.
22 Dec 14, 08:47 PM
[×] Taran: "Rose, Rose, Rose, you don't know a lot about guys I can tell. Ask a teenager guy if he can make it to a place which serves free food? Come on now, what were you thinking?" He laughed
22 Dec 14, 09:45 PM
Rose: A laugh in response. "You have no idea what I know about guys, Taranis" she pointed out. "I was just going to ask if you needed me to levitate you or you'd prefer to use your own power." She ran her fingers through her hair as she passed through the door. "Still, I suppose you could always teach me the rest."
22 Dec 14, 09:50 PM
Taran: That made hi hesitate; had she been farther then him along the way of dating? "Good point, that's a naturallead in to asking how many guys you have dated and for how long." He gave her a curious look. "I was going to walk. Why would I levitate? My dorm is downstairs to begin with." Then as she walked and he followed, he added smartly "Right, lessons in males. I'll add it to the list."
22 Dec 14, 09:52 PM
Rose: She shrugged, "never had anything serious really." She shrugged, "never saw the point with the contract over my head, and some guys find me a little..intimidating." She grinned, "can't imagine why." After a moment, she added. "But I've dated here and there, I would say...four guys maybe? Never for very long." She studied him, "you?" She sighed, "I was just teasing you" she pointed out. Her eyebrows disappeared into her hairline. "List? There's a list? What else is it you think I need to learn?"
22 Dec 14, 09:58 PM
[×] Taran: Oh, contract, good point. "Oh that makes sense, the contract would sort of be a big issue. Four eh?" He was silent a minute before he answered. "One girl, but a bit more then casual and for a month. We took it slow though." He glanced at her and her joking comment. "Ha, sorry I totally did not get that. Thought it sounded odd." He'd have to remember that for later. "Hmm let's see," he held up the cast, "close order flying drills, braking, guys, and oh yes, why wrestling doesn't count as romance apparently." He chuckled at the look on her face.
22 Dec 14, 10:24 PM
Rose: "Yes, four" She listened when he spoke of his own experience, and then gave him a surprised look. "Only one? Seriously?" She almost blushed and then knocked into him intentionally for the romance comment. "Hey, if aggressive flying maneuvers don't count as romance, neither does wrestling."
22 Dec 14, 10:28 PM
Taran: "Yes seriously. Remember the following hoard?" She bumped him and he stayed put, braced with the other side. "Exactly."
22 Dec 14, 10:28 PM
Taran: He walked down the hallway back to the stairs. "At least it's not patrol time."
22 Dec 14, 10:31 PM
Rose: "Ah, yes, that does discourage more timid applicants doesn't it?" She looked amused. She looked disgruntled when he didn't even flinch. "You're no fun" she accused, and then nodded. "Thank Merlin"
22 Dec 14, 10:37 PM
[×] Taran: He muttered under his breath "you have no idea." At her annoyance he stuck out a tongue. "Sorry, I've been working with muggle machines too often to get knocked off balance easily." They started down the stairs and he asked her "So the date. You wont need a bathing suit, but I don't want to go all formal either so can we agree it's casual and no reason to get all dressed up?"
22 Dec 14, 10:46 PM
Rose: "Challenge accepted" she responded with a stubborn glint. "But not while you're injured of course." Her relief when he continued was obvious. "Oh, good. We can absolutely agree on that, but are you sure about the suit?" She smirked at him.
22 Dec 14, 10:50 PM
Taran: Oh great, not quite what I meant. "Lovely. Then we'd better set number of tries versus prize and risk of failuer or this will go on forever." Heading down the stairs he glanced at her. "Water will be a lot colder then normal, as in dangerous temps. So I don't think its a good time for being in the water itself..."
22 Dec 14, 10:52 PM
Rose: Her answering grin was cheeky. "And this is bad because...?" She rolled her eyes behind him before she spoke. "Has anyone ever discussed the finer points of flirting with you Taranis?"
22 Dec 14, 10:56 PM
[×] Taran: He held up his fingers with a returning smile. "one, we'll be disrupting classes, two we'll be causing accidents in the hallways, three, a certain amount of copy cats will be blamed on us..." He then frowned and gave her a raised eyebrow. "Discussed? No. But you aren't being followed by a fan club are you? I've gotten a bit more...careful about what happens in front of others."
22 Dec 14, 11:23 PM
Rose: "One, some of our classes could use a few disruptions. Two, can they really be called accidents if they're intentional? Three, that's how legends are made." She sighed, and paused laying a hand on his arm as well to stop him. ""And that's not fair to you" she pointed out. "You should get to be yourself, with me, or with someone else if this doesn't work, but regardless, you shouldn't have to censure. You're doing people a disservice if you do." There was an earnest quality to her voice and her expression as she said it. "Let me worry about the club. I have a few ideas, and I'll even promise to pass them along if things don't work out. Okay?"
22 Dec 14, 11:27 PM
Taran: He stopped at her hand, giving her a look. "I don't know about others, but I defintely feel caged by it. You mak good against them and you score major points with me. Everything I can think of to do feels like a lie, misleading, or deception and that's not my way." He nodded to her last part.
22 Dec 14, 11:32 PM
Rose: She hesitated only a fraction of a second, seeming to contemplate something before she rose onto her toes and kissed him softly. "Count on it" she answered. "I'm all for scoring points, are you going to come up with a system or is this more of a per capita sort of thing?" She let the hand that was on his arm drift down to squeeze his good hand. "You do exactly what you feel like doing, when you feel like doing it. We'll cross the other bridges when we come to them."
22 Dec 14, 11:35 PM
[×] Taran: She kissed him and that surprised him clearly. "I think I'll call those on the fly. Too many variables." His face was quite serious now. He returned the squeeze. "Got it. We'll see what they do when you make waves."
22 Dec 14, 11:42 PM
Rose: They reached the portrait and she tickled the pear, smiling when it swung open. "Me? Make waves? Never." She gave him her best innocent look. "Tsunamis though...I could do Tsunamis" When they entered the kitchens, they were immediately greeted by a small elf in a very bright pink dress. "Supper bes over missus, how can Sparkle be helping yous?" Rose smiled at the little elf. "I know, I'm sorry, my friend Taranis just got out of the hospital wing, and we were wondering if we could get some hot chocolate before we head back to the dorm?" Eyeing his cast, Sparkle frowned before she began nodding emphatically, causing her ears to flap. "Of course miss. Mister and Miss bes having a seat right over there." With a snap of her fingers, the elf had apparently summoned the two mugs, and Rose grinned. "Thank you, Sparkle. We'll hurry, we promise." The elf beamed at them before disappearing with a soft 'pop'.
22 Dec 14, 11:47 PM
Taran: Following quietly, Taran waited till they were sitting with mugs to say more. "In good with the elves yourself I see." Handy, he also thought though he rarely had thought about it himself. He lifted the mug and toasted her with it silently. "I hope tusnamis won't be neccesasry, but I just have a bad feeling about what they will be like snubbed. Crazy people is what I am concerned about."
22 Dec 14, 11:51 PM
Rose: She shrugged, "I guess so. They're pretty good to have on your side in a pinch, its true." With regard to the girls, she nodded. "I doubt it" she tried to reassure him. "If absolutely necessary I can always have my grandmother work her particular brand of social magic, but I'm hoping that won't be necessary either." She gave him a reassuring look. "Its going to be fine, Taran" she repeated. "I've got a lot of friends and as I think I've proven, I'm more than capable of handling myself."
22 Dec 14, 11:56 PM
[×] Taran: He shook his head with a smile. "I'm not questioning how you deal with it, Rose, I'm giving you information. Remember, I'm the one whose been seeing them the most, unfortunately and I get a vibe off the intensity. I'm just saying be very careful." A sip. "My hands are tied more by morals then anything else with this."
