A purse of his lips as he thought about the answer. "There are several sorts of families and not all of them stay...still really, but I agree. I don't seem the sort to settle fast." She spoke about high prices and he chuckled. "Since I am not the one who set the price I can't really do anything about that, but I think my worth is enough it's a more then fair price for the trade. I will be the owner of my own island after all." Her description of her home made an eyebrow go up. "Unplottable...on a farm? Well now, that's different." It did indeed sound odd, but there was little in the wizarding world that was a strict normal either if he was honest.
She placed herself on the social scale and he frowned slightly as he thought about it a moment. That was a tricky thing to classify. "Hmm. That's tough to say. I'm going to go with extremely eccentric antisocial upper upper class. We don't throw parties nor have lots of guests over, but we still use a lot of things from the 1200s cause it works so well." A hesitation then an honest adding "It is a pretty private place though. People can't get there without an invitation, but we do have enough space for a small army. And that's not just a phrase in this case. We've had a small fleet base out of there before..."
When she asked about amazing things, he didn't need to make things up. "Hmm. Catapult in my bedroom, second house in Egypt, we use ghost nannies, the house has a different floor plan for each person, I can't begin to tell you how many books we have scattered all over, but most can't be found anywhere else either... oh and my family were pirates and the tradition is one my mom likes to encourage. How's that for a start?" She admitted that things could be kept exclusive and he wavered his free hand in the air to show it was only partly that way. "Well, we're a close family and we take care of each other. Whoever I marry will have a ton of relatives who will back her up against outsiders for sure, but the secret is for only those at the Head of the family really."
Not that his family was selfish about secrets, but only he and his parents really needed to know that particular one.
Catching her eye he held it back and when she admitted she was impressed he bowed his head slightly. "Good to know I seem impressive, at least so thank you for that," his eyes laughed silently at that, "but you know there are many ways to explore...options without being totally committed to the whole. If you were interested I'd be more then happy to offer a sample tour of some highlights." And he winked. Hopefully that was at least a bit tempting for her if he had caught her attention much so far. As for value, "Depends. Do you want it purely in monetary, social impact, or knowledge and experience?"
Ah what a temptation that would be if she were more a Ravenclaw. Still, most Slytherins would consider the fact he offered options more enticing then the answer itself he thought so it was well planned anyway. Worth, as it was, certainly was a different impression for different people. Just saying for instance 'I'm worth seventy million' or 'I've lived in sixteen countries' had two very different impressions. He smirked at her. "Nah, my brother's is far more interesting and we all have it from mom. I don't think that counts nearly as much." Darius had the same traits as their mom's, the only other person in the family to have it that much.
Speaking first she revealed a decently hefty goal for herself which he did find impressive amount of work, but he also thought he knew how to counter that some. "Very nice. I bet I know how to increase your odds quite a bit towards that without cheating. Anyway," he took a breath and then began. "I need a male heir, more then one preferably, very soon. I have ambitions to travel the world more so, particularly Africa and North America by motorbike after graduation, and I have I believe developed a sort of magic which is very easily commercialized that I would like to open a store in Hogwarts for. I don't really count that as a bonus or a goal so much as something I would find satisfying however."
He shrugged. "I don't need to work for a living, it's more a matter of personal satisfaction you might say." He glanced towards her eyes as he added "Personal satisfaction is rather a high goal for me."
