She didn't bother trying to defend herself or her family either for that matter. "Most of my family is in Slytherin" she shrugged. "Mom and dad were kind of shocked I ended up in Gryffindor honestly, but mom was pretty smug about it." A grin stretched slowly over her face as she added: "It does, part of the pirate thing I guess." Though her mother could be pretty intense too when she wanted. It was a rarity though. She shook her head, "your children are going to be more well traveled before they ever come to Hogwarts than most people get to be in their entire lives." It was a point in his favor actually, but she didn't feel the need to admit that part. She bit her lip, "you'll keep in touch right, once you...graduate?" She hadn't meant to sound like it mattered, but the thought of never seeing him again once he left school...it bothered her...a lot. As he continued though, she began to get the impression he might be considering her for a part in his life she hadn't thought possible, or even really thought about up to that point. Her eyes took on a far-off look and for just a few moments she allowed herself to picture the image he painted. To get to go anywhere, everywhere they wanted and have a family as well. To spend her life exploring every hidden place the world had to offer and to have someone to do it with? Her expression changed, lit up with the possibilities for a moment. "It...would be fun, wouldn't it?" More than fun, it would be ideal. She could spend her life doing what she wanted with someone who understood her and wanted exactly the same things. If there was a down side to this plan, she was drawing a blank. She wondered then, for the first time, how well-off his family actually was. She didn't know much about her family's finances except to assume they were well-off enough no one ever seemed terribly concerned about money. Both her parents were fairly successful in their own right, but it wasn't something she had ever concerned herself with. The sort of life he was talking about though...didn't come cheaply, and it didn't sound like he planned to work. It was something she'd have to ask if...and only if...this actually became a real plan...and it wouldn't...no way. She shook her head, smirking. "Nope, and since I have the meta gene there's that possibility too" she reminded him. He pointed out his own hair and she smiled as she reached up, touching it briefly. "I think I've still got you on the weirdness" she pointed out, still smirking. She thought about it for several seconds. "All straight as far as I know" she said thoughtfully. "The genetic thing seems like it trumps everything else." She grinned when he reacted to the poision. "It was a joke, Cam. I wouldn't poison you." Uncle Darius was better at potions anyway. She rolled her eyes at him. "I'm sure we could figure it out." And she was, they had always been able to relate to each other, and she doubted that would change even under such crazy circumstances. "I really have no idea what I want to do yet" she admitted. "I love dance, but I love a lot of other things too, so I'll just have to wait and see." She felt certain that what he said was true, that Cameron wasn't the type to set restrictions or limits whoever he might have married. It wasn't in his nature really, at least not in her experience. "Ah" she felt better about that. She wondered how her parents would react to the idea, and realized she wasn't entirely sure. They had married for love after all, and she wasn't quite certain how they'd react to the word 'contract' or even moreso to the idea of her getting married so quickly. Then again, Her mother had been barely out of school and her father still a seventh year when they'd married, so it wasn't like they had much room to argue really. She made a face at him even so. "Right, because traditional is totally either of our middle names." It occurred to her then that if she married him she'd have his last name. Alleana Lei Clarke had a ring to it, she decided, though she'd have sooner died than to have to admit to thinking it right then. He moved, and she got out slowly, disentangling herself from him and stepping out carefully. She was surprised when he began drying her off, it seemed an oddly intimate gesture from him, which she supposed was strange given their relationship in general was the very definition of intimate physically speaking. She still remembered, however, his comment when she'd kissed his shoulder after the first time. "Right, just talking" she repeated it in her head several times and took a deep breath, feeling much better. It wasn't like he was serious really, just something he'd probably thought about once or twice, and it didn't hurt to fantasize a little, right? She felt better, and a little silly for overreacting. When he moved away to dry himself, she adjusted the towel so that it was wrapped around her chest, only just long enough to cover her. She caught the slight edge to his tone and his body language as he spoke, and it surprised her to realize he was serious. She couldn't argue his point. If that was the ideal however, maybe she was the one at the disadvantage. Still, she looked a bit contrite as she nodded. "I get it" she said softly, and she did. She searched his eyes. "You're serious, aren't you?" She smiled softly. "I can't see it" she agreed. "But you're right, that doesn't mean it couldn't happen." She gave him a soft, thoughtful sort of smile. "I've been wrong before after all. Rare, but its been known to happen." She looked confused. "I thought the whole point was avoiding a contract?" She looked thoughtful, "and how could we get one written up without your parents? Or mine for that matter?" She looked amused by the word 'husband' but not resistant as she had been at the beginning of the conversation. She thought about it, really thought, for almost a minute. "Its not so different from what Grandpa Taran did for Grandma Rose..." she murmured, almost to herself. "I'd have to tell my parents, Cam, but I think they'd understand." As long as she sold it the right way of course. They might even be happy to see her a bit more 'settled'. The thought made her smile. "Mom was eighteen when she got pregnant with Luke and me" she told him. "Not sure I'd want to do it quite that quickly." "Husband..." She repeated softly, "Alleana Clarke" she said after another moment, almost surprised she'd done it out loud. "It...doesn't sound all that bad, does it?"

Listening as she spoke, he found himself enjoying the thought of her wanting many children; this was one of the things he had thought would be a real struggle with most girls without magic assistance, another reason Ally was a prize worth working over for a long time. "I want them to have what I do not have easily, perspective. Any child who doesn't see some of the world and realize how different people are in other lands has a one-sided idea of how the world works. I really wanted it when I was younger and we have gone a few places, but nothing enough for me. My children deserve far better then that." That was only part of it, but he did want to scour the world and see it all. "Of course I will. You will be jealous of all the massage training I will learn in other lands too, I'll describe them in my postcards till it drives you up the wall!"
He laughed.
"Of course it would. There are so many places to see, even both the poles-- oh say! Did you know there is a ship stuck inside an iceberg they found a few years ago? I bet with magic it wouldn't be too hard to walk it's decks again and wouldn't that be amazing to say had been done??" Best to give her as many temptations as he could, not that he had to tell a pirate's daughter about treasures yet to be found. And she teased him about his hair and he chuckled back.. "Curly headed, multi-colored headed kids. Sounds unique even in your family then if luck works out." He didn't mind being seen as unique either especially as she seemed to be buying into his ideas some, giving them thought.
Ah the innocence of motives did not surprise him; she was under aged to begin with after all. She hadn't had enough experience to throw off his attractive sounding ideas which were tempting her. A bit more and she'd be adding to them and thinking serious romance by the end of the weekend he was willing to bet, especially with all the activities they would be doing together! With those thoughts on her mind, it wouldn't be hard at all to show intimacy which would convince her the rest of the way that this was a good thing. "The goal is to avoid my parents being in control and deciding for me. Writing up a contract with you should be easy enough with a time set in it which would foil any thing my parents had in the works." And make it much harder for her to change her mind.
"Well I have contact with the family lawyer, he would certainly let my parents know something was up, but I could get it done before they could interfere. As for you, well, if you told your parents I was under a contract and you wanted to rescue me, wouldn't they think of your grandparents if you told them it was supposed to be temporary and you could get out of it? Then when you turn seventeen we could simply go get married and push it through that way. Would that work?" He nodded at her words, smiling more now and sliding an arm around her waist rather feeling good. "Really? You'll think about it? Cause that would save me big time! I'd owe you a lot for that..." Yes, believe you will have an advantage over me, my dear hapless lovely.
Ha, she was thinking about it, saying the names out loud like that! His grin grew. Pulling her close he kissed her throat and made his way up to her lips, giving her a rather happy and well-satisfied kiss for different reasons then she was probably thinking. "Ally Moon, I think I might have to be very rewarding tonight, more so then I have been thinking." Cradling her in his arms he said softly "Let's grab some supper, the rest of the house can wait till tomorrow. Don't bother with the clothes, the towels will be good enough." And with that he brought her with him back through the house and out the back lounge so she saw the pool for the first time, a candle lit table set up on the back side clearly with dishes covered...

Ally had a vaguely disconcerted feeling as though she was missing something she couldn't quite put her finger on. She dismissed it almost immediately however. Cameron wanted something huge, sure, but it wasn't like he was forcing her, and they were just talking after all...just. talking. "I've been several places too" she agreed, and then, with another nod of agreement, "but not enough for me either." It was one of her first major goals post graduation, to take the sort of trip her parents had taken. She had planned to take it by herself but... Thoughts of how nice it would be not to have to go alone tugged at her, but when he spoke again, she rolled her eyes at him, smirking. "Me? Jealous?" She crossed her arms over her chest. "Right." She grinned cheekily at him. "If anything is going to drive me up the wall it will be the owls with postcards at all hours." Still, the idea of having someone familiar to visit while she was traveling appealed greatly. Ally wasn't the type to enjoy being alone for long. She'd be able to make friends along the way, she told herself. As she studied Cameron, however, she was forced to admit it was unlikely she'd meet anyone quite so... She searched for the word...Powerful. Something about him filled up a room, surrounded her until she was aware of nothing else and convinced even that she didn't need anything else in those moments when they found themselves tangled, which had been often during school she realized. He sounded like her, just like her actually, when she was trying to explain her desire to travel to...well...anyone else. It was the first time she'd ever heard someone mention the poles other than herself however. For a moment, just a fraction of a second, she allowed herself the thought of giving in and then forced it away by sheer strength of will. Focusing on the conversation, she nodded. "I did actually, but I've never thought of a way to actually see it." Her eyes caught with the excitement of such an idea. "It would" she admitted, definitely a once in a life time. Torn between her misgivings about commitment and her excitement at the idea of a lifetime of travel and fun, Ally took a deep breath. It was exactly the sort of emotional chaos she enjoyed, the warring, spinning ups and downs. It was why she felt so drawn to Cameron in the first place. He'd been someone she could throw herself into for one simple reason: She had known she could never have him, known that at some point it must end, and in knowing had felt safe in a strange way. Now though, the way he was talking...to do this...forever. Was such a thing possible? He spoke of kids, but in a way that made it feel more like a tease, and she cringed playfully. "Bless them" she murmured. "We'd be terrible people for even giving it the opportunity to happen." Back to familiar territory then, and she relaxed considerably. Joking about kids, after all, was a far cry from planning them. With so much going on in her mind, it was difficult to discern anything below the surface. Ally had, after all, grown up trusting Slytherins. Her family was full of them, and it gave her a false sense of security, of believing she could not be manipulated in the same way others could. She didn't like the word 'contract' and it showed. Contracts meant expectations, not just rules, but legally binding ones. If she had a part in writing the thing, it might be all right, but still she withdrew slightly, her excitement dimmed by the prospect of being in any way formally committed. "I..." she looked for something noncomittal. "Yeah, that would work." Not that she'd necessarily agree to it mind. Ally had heard about the details of her grandma Rose's contract once she'd gotten older, and the knowledge had stuck with her. If he hoped to convince her a contract was a good thing, he had his work cut out for him, but she suspected he already knew that. He might be stuck with his original plan after all. Ally simply didn't do legally binding anything, especially since wizarding contracts almost always had magical consequences as well. She thought of Ma and frowned. He spoke of lawyers and her parents and the whole thing became a bit too real again. Though she didn't panic this time, she could feel her guard coming up, protecting her from being too easily swayed. "Lie to them you mean?" She didn't much like that idea. She'd always been close to her parents, and misleading them bout something so huge felt wrong, less for moral reasons than emotional ones. She loved them. She arched a brow at him. "I could get out of it, right?" If he was about to tell her she had to put her name to something that didn't have loopholes he could stick his own wand where the sun didn't shine. No way would she ever leave herself without an out. Seventeen, she thought. She had an entire year to think about it, and for him to change his mind, which she felt fairly confident would happen. Cameron simply wasn't the type to stick to something that long. Not only that, he'd run through half a dozen girls by then at least, and surely in that time he'd find one that suited his goals more. One who was more...malleable. Still, his earlier temptations had given her plenty to consider, and she had time to consider she reminded herself. "Sure" she offered after nearly a minute. "I'll think about it." There could, after all, be nothing bad about being owed a huge favor from an extremely wealthy, sinfully attractive guy. The thought made her smirk in a way that was decidedly Slytherin. With the right set-up, it could work. The smirk broadened. He was going to reward her for thinking about it? So much the better. He pulled her closer and she felt herself melt into him, some of the resistence going out. She nodded, then seemed to realize something. She found her pants and bent down, retrieving her wand. "Charm" she explained, performing it. She might agree to what he was asking, she might not, but if she had anything to say about it the choice wouldn't be taken out of her hands that way. She let him lead her to the backyard and she took in the scene, surprised. "Wow..." he'd put some thought into this it seemed. "Smooth" she murmured, turning to smile at him. "Very nice." The pool, however, caught her attention almost as quickly. Oh she was going to live in that thing this weekend.

He nodded with a teasing grin. "Sure! There's all kinds of massage I have not been able to learn yet, Chinese, and Brazilian and all sorts of new things I bet. I'll just have to be a really good writer to explain it in a way without telling you how it's actually done so you want to gasp!" Chuckling, he watched her face, knowing that while he had saved a few tricks for himself, she really knew nearly as much as he did about the stuff so a new edge would be something she would find tempting. And that was why he added the part about the ship; so exciting to be somewhere no one else would probably ever be again too. He suspected most ships and such just sank and disappeared forever, but inside ice? Had to be unique, just their kind of thing...
"Ally," he chided her, fairly sure he knew what she was thinking of and how to twist it, "I suspect even in your family you strive to be unique, different. What could be more unique and memorable then something no one else has like that? Just think, the only end of the family with curly hair! They would be remembering you forever for that alone. My father is always talking about how kids out live you so they are the best monument to who you are then you could ever create through society. That's real immortality there!" Sensing her hesitation, he hit upon a way to reassure her. "Oh stop it, like I want an old world contract in the first place, don't jump to assumptions, silly one!"
He tried to be reassuring as he hugged her close. "It's Cameron, remember? The one trying not to be forced into something against his will? Hello? You do want to play hero, right?" He shook his head at the worries she wasn't voicing but which were plainly bothering her. "It's a contract for them, silly, to keep them at bay not us. All it will be is a date and say we'll be married. Period. No magic, no elaborate phrasing, nothing like that. And if things fall through and you decide not to then you will have given me time at the very least, though I have no doubt they would be quick to force me into something. We can mutually drop it anytime before you turn seventeen. I just need the date of the wedding set for then, that's what they would respect."
Shrugging, he could almost taste victory, but not quite yet. "If you don't want to lie to them, that's fine. I'm not saying my way or the highway, Ally, but I don't get the luxury of picking the time. The hurry would be because of my parents, not me. If you think of another way to do it, then sure, let's hear it. We can work something out." He nodded to the question about getting out of it, but he had plans to prevent her wanting that part if he got her that far. She really was a treasure trove of genetics and he wanted that, very much if he could manage that. "You would have to be seen with me a lot more during the year, of course, just to prevent people wondering, but we've not had a problem with being around each other, just in hiding it before. It would be more open now."
She reacted to the pool and he nodded, glad she liked. "I spend a lot of time in there i must admit. Swimming is very good exercise and you already know I'm good at that." He led her around to the other side, liking the fact they were both nearly naked with just towels making further progress almost a given. Motioning her towards a pillow on her side he lay down on his side so his head was near hers as he lifted a few covers. "Advantages of having an elf around I must admit. I suspect the ones at Hogwarts have romance on the brain sometimes, but just one free one makes everything less of a hassle. After we eat I can show you my place and then my only other plans are showing you the house tomorrow and enjoying the pool. Nice, stress free weekend."
As long as his parents weren't around he might as well enjoy it. A glance at the swell of her towel near the top and he knew he was going to savor the...weekend.

As Ally pictured what he was saying, another thought came unbidden. If they were married, he would be able to show her all of the things he was learning first-hand. The thought of his hands all over her body as he demonstrated the techniques he learned in each new country, she nearly squirmed at the thought and her eyes began to shift to the tell-tale dark violet slowly, shade by shade from the bright, teasing blue. Out loud, however, she answered with a grin: “Well then, at least I’ll have something to look forward to while I’m dancing from place to place.” She was being a bit stubborn in refusing to admit exactly how much he affected her. At the moment, she thought, he needed no more advantages over her than he already had. She liked Cameron, trusted him on some level even, but she wasn’t stupid. She was also to naive to see just how deeply she had already been mired, and too prideful to admit such a thing might be possible. She knew she was being tempted, he knew her well enough to bait her well. Though she told herself it wasn’t working, the impulses tugged at her sub-conscious. Even the thought of how much it would shock everyone that she was getting married at all was a draw. “I doubt even you could make me gasp with just a letter Cam” she murmured smirking. “Everyone has a limit.” She grinned cheekily up at him. The sound of her name was different this time, slightly reproachful, but in a way that was still light. Still, as she thought about it, the idea of being able to stand out even amongst her family was an attractive one. It had been Ally’s goal all her life, to be unique even among all of the chaos that radiated from her entire family. She wanted to be like Ma, larger than life and entirely her own person. Ma had gotten married, she reminded herself. She had a husband and lots of children and she still managed to do her own thing spectacularly well. She contemplated the thought for a long moment. “That would be something” she offered finally after a long pause, a small half-smile turning up her lips at the corners. His comment about contracts earned a rare, if barely-there blush. “Sorry, you’re right. The whole idea just makes me…” She cringed to illustrate her point. “There’s only ever been two contracts in my family that I know of. “Both sets of grandparents had them. Grandma Rose and and Grandpa Taran, they sort of managed their way around it, but Ma…” another grimace. “Anyway, sorry.”After a moment, he pulled her close, and her expression softened once more. When he spoke she laughed. “I know, I know…” She laid her head on his chest and closed her eyes, exhaling softly. “It’s just...a lot to think about, you know that right?” Still in his arms, she tilted her head up so she could look at him. “Hero? Me?” she smirked in an ‘I have no idea what you could possibly mean’ sort of way. Ally didn’t go around like some Gryffindors, looking for ways to get the glory. When she saved the day, it was more subtle, a plan well-executed. She arched a brow at him, moving only so far as it took to meet his eyes, “and I would get to read everything before I put my name on it? Hypothetically speaking of course.” She still refused to acknowledge this plan as even a remote possibility, or so she kept repeating to herself even while his words began to create fissures in her walls. Seventeen, she thought, which would give her a year to really give this some thought, and in the meantime he would have room to breathe, at least the illusion of freedom for the first time in his life. “That’s nearly a year away” she observed softly. “Are you sure they would wait that long?” In spite of herself her mind began to go over the possibilities. A contract almost certainly meant some sort of fidelity clause. Her lips twitched at the thought. “And have you considered the strong possibility of their wanting to include some sort of fidelity clause, which might prove a bit difficult for two people who have never actually been in monogamous relationships before?” Not to mention the fact that he would be gone during her seventh year. His easy acquiescence to the comment about her family won him (albeit grudging) points. While she could easily see her parents not being particularly wild about the idea of her getting married this way, she suspected they would be most likely to understand. While everyone had eventually married for love, most had been the victim of circumstances outside their control. Grandpa Taran and Grandma Rose being the most similar case she could think of. The set up by the pool nearly made her laugh. “No elves for us, just ghosts” she answered, watching him settle in before she joined him, turning on her own side to face him. “By the way” she told him with a mischievous glint in her eyes. “This is probably the least romantic proposal I’ve ever heard of.” She grinned cheekily at him. “Where’s all that charm you’re supposed to be infamous for?” Her eyes were positively dancing now. On the one hand, she wanted desperately to lighten the mood of the conversation, on the other, she wondered if he would actually come out and admit to the fact he was trying to talk her into marrying him in so many words. Either way, she enjoyed pushing the button, and wanted very much to see what Cameron Clarke was made of. A chuckle as she spoke and he nodded in return. "I'm very good at anticipation, I think I've proven to you, Ally..." A hand out on her hip as he added with a sly voice "And trust me when I say I think you will find a lot more things to enjoy involving me and your hips then just different ways of dancing vertically." A wiggle of his eyebrows slightly nearly leering as he responded to her letter quip with "Oh you'd be surprised what can be done when someone knows you better then anyone else and I think I can claim to be able to please you better then most you have known. You are here at my invitation after all, even if it meant being sneaky with what you told your parents, right?"
After all, she balked a moment ago about fibbing to them and that was exactly what she had done to get here to begin with. If she wanted something, she was clearly willing to technically deceive those who had raised her. Did she not see that? "I'm sure if we work at it we can be more unique then that. If that's what you really want, Ally," not knowing her grandmother had married before she graduated. If he had known that, he might have pushed the age comparison thing a bit more, but Lindsey had always been a force of nature as it was. A roll of his eyes. "Come on, Ally, you know me. Really. Do you think I would honestly escape my own trap by trapping you? That's sort of like stabbing myself, you know, we're more alike then anyone else I know."
A sigh which she could hear clearly from his chest where her ears were. "Ally Ally Ally, you wonderful seductress, of course it's a lot to think of. It's big steps, but I can't think of anyone else then you who might do it. Or even want to. All others I know are looking for the big score, seeing in me more just money and position and what they can get out of it." A hand stroked down her back over the towel as he said softer "But you and I want so many of the same things, you'd see me for me, not just some advantage. How can I not want to bring it to your mind? I'm a prisoner trying to convince someone to turn the key in the lock to let me out." He tried to make sure to put in his voice that she was the one who might save him, that few others would or could.
"Of course you would. I said it would be a simple simple thing anyway. And yes, I think a year will help tons; they might push it, but why would they if they see us together a lot? And as my fiance you would be expected to be spending more time with me despite graduation so I'd be dropping in on you a lot. You don't mind being sprung from school for some small adventures, right?" His eyes sparkled thinking about that part and what he might tempt her into. He shook his head at her words, trying to show it as a definte no despite the fact it was very much up in the air. "Nah, remember I'm getting it written, not them. If it was a traditional one, sure that would be probably something they would push, but this would be us in control, not them. However, I know you don't think it likely, but whoever I get married to will be my main focus" he caught her eyes looking very serious as his hand tightened on her skin perceptively "and the mother of my children will get a lot of very...personal attention from me for sure."
Oh the layers of meaning there!
Now he raised an eyebrow at her as if he wondered if she really wanted that. "Ally, there's no point to doing romance when you aren't even sure the one you would like to be seducing is even possibly interested in you that way. And" he leaned in close, brushing his lips across the front of her throat lightly, enticingly, "while I know you like me physically a lot, I've never known you to be interested in being seduced. I suspect you would rather be the seducer." Another kiss there, then one a bit lower mid chest as he kept the smile in his eyes turned down. Oh she was very much the type to want to be in control, getting her interested in convincing him she was the one would have been lovely, but so far he had only hinted at her being the one in charge and she hadn't tried to prove any different so far.
Better to prove to her that in this case she rather wanted him to be in charge. Leaning back just enough to move up to see her eyes he said very huskily "Not that you wouldn't enjoy being treated like a goddess, minx," and then he kissed her choosing one that was slow and intense, moving into a longer version as he would like nothing more then to take her right then and there after such a declaration and show her how she really felt down deep about having him as hers...
